I searched about one and a half years for an A340F alongside my conversion parts. I called almost every specialty Toyota scrapper, as well as any junkyard with a Tacoma I could find on car-part with a few hundred mile radius. Additionally I scoured eBay, Craigslist, and this forum.

I created a spreadsheet with the prices for each transmission, the mileage, as well as factored in “sold” prices that can be found.

The average price for a complete A340F without the ETCS-I is roughly $500. I’ve seen them range from $200 all the way up to $1,000+ for rebuilt or low mileage units.

$400-500 is the sweetspot for a complete A340F, I feel like that guy is charging a premium since he’s including a partial engine harness which is totally unnecessary.

Not worth it to me. I’m happy with the stock setup, I even got rear ended and didn’t have a single scratch.

So you're selling the bumper you bought and never assembled? The stock bumper is kinda lame, it folds pretty easily but I suppose it's nice in a just change it out kinda way. I changed mine twice.

To my knowledge it's the only front bumper that works with the airbag sensors so probably, ya

Front bumper, not rear bumper. I don’t have an aftermarket rear bumper.

The airbag sensors are mounted on the inner fender, they're inertia based. I think any significant hit will make em go off.

For some reason I thought you bought a full set.

I’ll have to think about it, It’s definitely going together one day but if a good enough offer comes through I’ll consider it.

I wouldn’t be afraid to tow stuff with a well reinforced receiver, if I ever get a bed made im gonna box the frame and put a receiver back there. Nice and high and out of the way

Yeah after seeing some of bullshit Curt and Uhaul spit out I don't see why literally anyone couldn't make something much more stout.

Not all years had those sensors in the fenders, I remember seeing early 3rd Gen 4Runners without it, and some with them present.

Pretty obvious with the glaring neon Yellow wires.
