I was changing my oil on this weekend and noticed a leak coming off the front cover of the engine - probably this timing cover oil leak that has been reported before in these 2016s. Truck is still under warranty, so I should be covered. I had my free service done by Rodland in Everett, but would prefer not to drive all the way up there. Is Lake City Toyota trustworthy?

With enough interest, deposits for sliders could fund the drill :spending:

I’d be interested in bolt on sliders as well. Those look nice and sturdy

Yeah I'm strictly looking for a 1st Gen DC. I had a 2015 DCSB prior to this one and I'm very happy with the 1st Gens but it also helps solidify the deal that I have a front and rear bumper on its way so they'll be able to transfer over (along with my other mods) to the future 2001-2004 DC

I currently am looking at Craigslist, solely in the west to help negate any potential rusty frames from the midwest and east coast that these trucks are so prone to getting. I just want to gauge what they really go for, so far the mileage between 50-90k is looking around that $15-19k I was talking about

Thanks for the input! I think it'll be a little while before I find one with a "reasonable" price... never been able to buy straight out with cash a vehicle from a dealer so I'm not sure how much markup there is with the truck/how much they're able to lower it but I guess I'll find out through trial and error

I'm making a decent product here, but it's time to kinda pull out all the stops and make a great product. It being a side hustle/hobby though, it takes some time. I won't ever be taking deposits on simple little things like sliders, that's reserved for big stuff. The new sliders will be both bolt on and weld on, and I'm going to have standard fixtures built for the frequent vehicles, so there won't be any need for me to custom fit anything. It'll definitely be a step up. Soon.

In all fairness, a good portion of the magic that made that bumper happen was that @Skootter14 had a very good and detailed vision, and he's picky as fuck. That bumper is way out of what I would have dreamed up. Totally not my style. And I absolutely love it. If you have a project like that, I'm down. Just do a lot of research and have a really good idea of what you want.
