I dont know what's up with my pump. The tank stays full but the gauge shows injection . I'll need to check. Maybe next mod day with my hombre @crashnburn80 . But that's all about him getting on the small pulley bus.. if theres time we might address mine.

I owe him. Anyone that's helped put long tube headers on knows your buddy owes you a favor.

Really shouldn’t be too hard to troubleshoot in a controlled environment. Test if the pump runs with a different power source, then trace power back from the pump to find the fault.

So after installing a new air intake (this one from aFe) I started to notice a nigh pitched spraying sound while on WOT. Hard to describe, but as if something was spraying at high pressure or a belt is getting shredded to pieces. Only at highway speed and on 4th/5th gear (putting it in neutral or while parked no noise). Does this sound like a bad transmission or the S/C causing trouble. Serpentine and SC belts are brand new and look good. I did do some work 1 month ago (new water pump, new CSF radiator, replaced several pulleys - I torqued everything down to spec and had no leaks over the past month).

Here is a clip, hard to hear but a high pitch sound only on WOT (comes up twice on the clip). Let me know what you guys think.

Negative. You would have to go through one source alone. www.rsgear.com to get their AWD mated Magnum.

Correct, hard to hear. I don't hear anything out of the ordinary. I do know that changing the intake will change the sound quite a bit. I have gone between my factory and the AFE stage II a few times and with the AFE you can hear the amount of air going through it. My dad has the AFE open element intake, stage 1 I think, on his tacoma and that thing sounds like it is trying to suck small children off the sidewalk. But I love the fact you have such a good spot to jump on the freeway and test under boost. I love that pass. And I love your boost numbers. They look very high compared to mine. What is the elevation of Livingston? Can you watch your boost numbers go down as you climb up the pass?

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I still got a 2.85" I will have off shortly. I plan on cutting the snout this weekend after I finish with the Tranny Valve Body upgrade. I have my roush tensioner, smaller belt and everything on hand.

Turn your controller to boost mode and change it to kick on at 1psi. Then take the line off that feeds your nozzle, take the vacuum hose off your boost port, turn the key to on (to provide power to pump), blow into the vacuum hose (for the controller) and see if your pump kicks on. This is how i test mine and prime the lines

Hard to tell, that's a tough one. Possible it's just the sound of the intake sucking in all that air?

It's normal. Nothing to worry about.

If you are still troubled over it, throw your stock intake back on and run it, if the sound goes away it is purely from the intake.

The Momentum AFe intake is a gorgeous beast of an intake. I wish I didn't live in California.

It is my advice to you guys and to all moving forward that you do NOT go with Dayco belts if longevity is your goal. Yes I am referring to Toyota OE belts as well, as they are Dayco, as I have found that their running lifespan is around or less than 10,000 miles before they start getting all cracked.

Either they do not refresh their inventory circulation and the belts they are selling through their distributors have a case of rubber rot, or they are using inferior materials over Gates and other competitors.

Elevation is around 4700’. It’s probably a little richer than afr shows since I’m connected just after the y-pipe. It will drop down to 9 and be super rich at times on the Bozeman pass. Waiting on my new y-pipe that’s gonna have an o2 sensor on each side.

Anything smaller than 2.5 will require another machining of the snout or a cutting of the material underneath the surface the pulley spins over, you can't just step down from the 2.5 to a 2.3 just like that.

Oh ok. Glad to know. I was assuming that the one cut would be good enough. Thank you sir.
