Anyone know if the headlights on TacomaBeast fit the TRD models. I see a lot of people buying them with TRD models but the site says fit SR and SR5 models only.

Just wanna be sure before I send the 400 dollars.

Do you know what to do for replacement bulbs? I've been looking all over and on mine the bulb doesn't just pop out. It looks as if you have to get a whole new bulb kit. Anything helps! Thanks.

Also loving mine! Had them for about a year and a half now.

Locate your low beams and turn the circle seals towards the fender side and the seal should pop out to reveal the bulbs. Then you have to push a pin outward to release the bulbs and then just tug the bulbs side by side to get it out. Did you have questions about which bulbs fit as well?

I do. What kind of LED/HID bulbs will fit as a replacement. I know it voids warranty but if I keep the halogens it comes with, TacomaBeast never has to know I replaced them

You're going to need H7 bulbs that fit into the projectors socket. It will void the warranty but as long as your properly close up that seal no moisture will get in.

Thanks for the info. I'll look at the headlights again today. I got the unit out last night but couldn't figure out how to get the actual light out. The manufacturer was nice enough to label what kind of lights are in the socket. Mine had a little tag that says H7 5000k. I'll keep you guys updated.

Wait a second. Your setup is an HID rather than the usual bulbs that come with it?

It only changes the way you need to replace your bulb. Honestly, I don't have the best knowledge of HID's and I don't want to give stupid instructions that may harm you or fuck up the unit. Maybe someone can chime in on this for a fellow brother?

Just unplug the 2 connectors and change the bulb, it’s that simply. The bulb info is written on the white tag on the red wire. All you need to make sure of is the new bulb is the right size / type for the housing and also for the ballast voltage (the big black box). Contact the vendor for a replacement, buying HID bulbs without the ballast used to be a pain, but that might have got easier these days. Also, HID are usually highly reliable bulbs, are you sure it’s the bulb and not the ballast? Swap it over with the other side and see if you haven’t already. Remember just like true halogen you shouldn’t touch the glass with your bare hands.

BTW, that really is a shit way to wire up an HID bulb, either the vendor is clueless on electronics, or just cheap.
Oh and just a thought on that, you did check the fuse? as I didn’t see a relay in that mess, and most HIDs without relay will overload the headlight circuit.
