    Awesome, thanks!

Only the shift 1-2 is different from normal to normal fault on the stock cal.

Attached is a quick excel doc i have made to help with shift scheduling.

    Keep in mind the following:
    • Indicated speed is done by ABS sensor aka wheel speed,
    • Gearing changes will NOT effect indicated speed but will effect engine rpm at a given speed
    • Numbers below are for a stock geared v6 truck (3.73's).
Biggest bit of info here is the indicated speed to output rpm constant, once we have that we have everything else via simple math.

I took a few quick readings (just via dash gauges) on my lunch in 4th lockup 1:1 and the constant of 41 rpm / indicated mph is pretty much spot on. (45mph looked around 1850 rpms, 60mph looked a smidge under 2500). This is further solidified via the fact that 5th lockup will occur at the slowest speed of right around 32mph according to toyota service manual. If you do the math 32 x 41 = a driveshaft speed of 1312 rpms, which on the stock tune the absolute soonest it will allow the truck to shift to 5th is at 1300 DS rpms.

So a constant of "41" with 3.73 gears is damn close enough in my book, especially given the fact this is at lockup, not accounting for torque converter slip.

I have made the following excel doc to help with those wanting to play with different shift points. Do NOT mess with the RPM constant box, if you have different gears other than 3.73 you can change your gearing ratio (in box B11) and that will reflect the RPM constant, DS RPMs, and Engine RPMs accordingly.

ALSO things to note, Accelerator pedal position boxes on each of the upshifts and downshifts. There are the same number of "tuneable" spots, but each of the accelerator pedal positions are DIFFERENT. So if you are trying to raise / lower engine rpms at a given throttle position make note, the 4th box in for 1st gear is not the same pedal position as the others etc.

If you are having problems with the scanner not showing Toyota Enhanced PIDs please download and install 4.3.604 or later to resolve the problem. (This problem only exists for some non TRD calibrations).

Not really it's an all or nothing kinda bug, if you see any PIDs that aren't SAE (such as Knock Feedback) it's working.

Also, a fix for the bug of VCM Editor 4.3 Beta crashing on first launch after install has been checked in. Download 4.3.604 or later.

You can always upgrade to the pro version at a later time. It isn't really cost savings to buy it all at once.

You can data log with the base one. If you're supercharged the pro allows a Wideband afr gauge to be input through the mvpi2 for data logging.

If it can be later upgraded if I so choose, then that's good. I was kinda under the impression you had to buy it with the stuff already there and wasn't exactly "upgradeable"

The only cost benefit is you save on small shipping cost for the Pro-Link device if you order it upfront it comes in the box with the MPVI2.

    My shit is all stock.
You answered your own question. Buy it, wire in your afr gauge, log and then send logs to tune tweakers (is that the PC term?)
Pro version and four credits. $750. (Plus tax on the hp site. Which surprised me.)

    Mine shipped today. Giggity.

@HPTuners I downloaded the latest beta software per above and now my scanner is able to log the enhanced PID's. Thank you for your prompt resolution for my issue. I will reply to the ticket also.

Applied the JustDSM tune today. Going to be good and not flash some of the trans shift points I would like to for the next week or so to get a baseline MPG.

I did flash a modified JustDSM tune with some changes I made to lower throttle opening upshifts and im liking what im seeing as far as auto trans behaving better! But like stated went back to the OG JustDSM tune, to get mpg numbers and take a little more time to wrap my head around shift points etc.

Have very few miles on the JustDSM tune other than startup, and one or two passes up n down the street. Throttle response changes are instantly noticed, less mushy pedal feel for sure which makes sense given the changes made to pedal mapping in the tune, There is much more than that though to the tune that has been changed as well.

I see this is listed as only supporting the Tacoma 1GR-FE but anyone know (HPtuners or otherwise) if it works with the 1GR-FE and A750 in the Hilux? Software number through techstream is 89663-0KD50. I'm willing to be the guinea pig :)

That looks like the ECU number. The number you would need to know is the calibration ID.

Yeah its Australian, the V6 gets neglected down here, diesel tuning guys are a dime a dozen but other than alientech (painful) and bit edit (very painful) there aren't any options for the V6, Even more so when you want to do it yourself.
