Chiming in from the YT camp. I picked this up back in November, and even with nearly two months of out-of-state travel (work), I've still managed to throw down 400 miles of pure, unadulterated fun/abuse on this thing. I'm not clearing road gaps or anything, but I'm also not shying away from anything on the trails I have available to me here in DFW (or spider mountain downhill park(far from amazing, but still close, fun and challenging for a noob)). Based on my limited knowledge/experience on full sus bikes, it's fantastic and totally worth the money. One thing I will say to sort out before you ride or as soon as you're able (I couldn't wait either) is cable/hose rattle on the internal routing. It gets pretty bad when you start hitting chunky sections way faster than you should be... Also, as a bigger guy, I'd say set it up for tubeless IMMEDIATELY. I've spent more than I care to admit on toooobz and, at this point, think the tires I have on are too swiss cheesed to try and convert now, so I'll ride it out until I have tire monies. Aside from those two things, I'm loving this bike. Oh, also, I've already worn down the patterns on the grips, so maybe think about that too?

IDK, just schemin. Since my Canada trip has all but fallen through, I'm trying to figure out what to do with my 2.5 weeks of vacation I had dedicated to that trip.

More a conceptual question. I remember checking trail foks before I was gonna be home for the holidays 2 winters ago, and the results were...sparse

The shed has some "push trails" that will have some decent senders and stuff that is made for you to ride through and then walk the bike up about 100 ft and do it again. I will warn you though you got to be ready to power and throw it down. I miss that area although it kept you on it on the bike. If you hit the DH stuff there are some jumps that have between 10-20 ft gaps if you want to do that stuff as well.

I have a buddy that lives up near Culpepper and always talks about hitting up trails on the Marine Corps base, but I have zero details on them other than he also rides Fountainhead quite a bit.

Speaking of which, heads-up to anyone riding North 40 in Moab, there’s a tree just a short way into the trail, on the left. Don’t stare at it, but do look out. It bites - hard. DAMHIK.

Nah man. Modern day media and advanced bike tech has ruined trails

But thankfully for us, dirt is rebuildable!

If you haven’t ridden CB, you have to go. So many awesome trails there, great camping, just a beautiful place to ride and be outdoors.

Angel fire is sick, and great for a few days max. Not much else to ride in the area. It’s rocky AF, so a big bike is required.

Never heard of the shed. Where’s that at?

Exactly. When I do ride some of the underground trails, I just mark them private and they don’t show up.

Stoked people are joining. Holy shit, we’re at 27!

Finally testing out the bike rack with a bike on gen swingout! I hope it doesn’t move too much at the wingnut point, because the extension needed it’s basically a giant lever!

    too many to list

Hell yeah man you are right about that. I set mine up tubeless out of the box. Definitely a must do decision! I couldnt imagine running this bike at more than 20 psi. The tubeless set up makes a huge difference! What is that on your top tube?

Aweee yeah man! I was really torn between that color and the grey. I love the blue though. Ended up getting grey to match my wifes Roscoe 8. Matchy matchy. Set it up tubeless and rip it up dude!

Youre going to fucking love it man. The jeffsy shreds. My old Remedy 9 doesnt even hold a candle compared to it on my trails.

So how do you go about getting the trails actually under the ground though? ;) /s

Well, CB is going on the list! And I heard Angel Fire is chunky. Gonna have to get the big bike ready to rock!

The shed is over in southern Maryland on the east coast. It’s a common spot where the gravity guys go to during the off-season. The place always scares me cause you know you can go faster, but your game pretty be on. That place helps develop the lightning fast decision making and techy skills that the east is known for along with some big hits that you either sack up or pack up with.
