Does anyone know if there will be a way to incorporate the '20 radio into a '19?

I really want to be able to use Android Auto in my Taco, or AT LEAST cast the Waze app onto my screen....

Since we dont have the new radios out yet, its unknown. But, from what Ive been reading, all models (except manual trans) come with the jbl system stock. So you will run into issues right off the bat with that.

Right, if you already have a jbl then it makes it easier. But again, since we dont have any info on it we are not sure.

There may be issues with camera setup since the 2020 has multiple cameras

Ahhhh, ok. Yea, I can see some issues... I am also wondering (since it will be a bigger screen) what the fit-up will be like...

If only they could release a software update for the current ones to allow android auto...

There has been speculation of a software pack that upgrades older units, people keep pointing to the camry as it is getting upgrades. But the camry uses entune 3.0 already, we have 2.0.

While there is a chance, and it could be done, I dont know if toyota would do it.

Thats why I bought my truck with the radio without the JBL audio package so I can replace it later. Look up the Alpine Halo 9

Yeah the halo 9 is sick but I don’t know how I feel about a massive screen that sticks out screaming “break in and steal me” lol

Limo tint all around prevents most break ins. Then again I also park in a closed garage at work and home.

Ive been thinking of getting the halo, thats also the thing thats keeping me from getting it... that and the lack of volume wheels. I hate volume buttons.

Ive been thinking of getting this, says its for a corolla, but looks like it would fit

Would be nice to have the option. Mazda offers a retrofit for android auto and apple carplay - surely Toyota could do the same if they wanted. I would pay the $200 for Android auto in my stock system.
