And there's not too much "Luxury" in any Toyota car's LE trim.

And shouldn't an SR be considered a VE in reality?

Not even "also" for 3rd gen, SR5 never came with a manual.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, Toyota knows this and will use it to boost sales.

I agree that some of the acronyms aren’t consistent with today’s features, options.

Off a TW member. He sold me the whole rear bumper for 150.00 but all i used was the hitch/receiver. Install wasnt to bad, had a hard time pulling off the non hitch bumper hitch.

Today I installed yellow fog lights. I did the install as described by Nitori on this forum where you use the existing wires behind the grill and you intercept the blue wire in the steering column. It went well but the cheap switch the fog lights came with pushed too far into the dash. I like how the fog light indicator lights up on the dash.

Today I purchased my third 3rd Generation Tacoma. It’s my first SR. The previous Tacomas were TRD Sport and TRD Off Road. I had the dealer swap out the steel wheels for 16” SX Package wheels at no extra charge.

I upgraded the tires to Cooper AT3 4S in 265/75/16 and I think they ride better and look better than the stock 245/75/16 Hankook HT's that came with the SR. A couple pics...image1 (1).jpg IMG_2607.jpg

Is it possible to order a AC V6 without the SX package yet? Looks better without the fender flares.

Edit: Found some on cars.com. Looks like they're somewhat rare, but they do exist.

Wow … extremely rare, just five available nationally on cars.com. Most of them being in SE Toyota territory.
