They appear to be 8" wide. The tread area is just over 7" wide and the side walls stick out about a half an inch or so on each side of the tread. The mechanic actually installed them so I am assuming he knows what he is doing. Thanks for the heads up.

I wanted more light in the bed when the cover was raised so today I wired up a set of LED strips that I found at AliExpress.. i’m Not fond of pin switches so I used a set of magnetic garage door switches to make the connection. Lots of light back there now. 57B57B9A-A2F2-473B-8A34-8EAC95555831.jpg 09CB8D00-4D58-4A60-BAEA-3D88E20A13A0.jpg

I pretty much had to cut every piece accordingly

The drawer sits perfectly width wise however i had to shortened it length wise. I cut off about 4” of the drawer towards the back. I used 1/8” metal plates to mend them together.

I used 2x8’s for the front mount. Trimmed about an inch off the width and used two bolts to mount them to the bed.

The rear is mounted to the TC bed stiffeners, making sure it’s snug on the side against the bed.

Also had the shortened the rail a bit.

Madico Charcool tint. 30% up front 5% everywhere else:

It’s supposed to be 99% uv blocking and 42% heat blocking. Which should mean, in North Texas, it will only be 240 degrees inside the vehicle in summer.

$10?? Which bed liner did you use? Looking for a cheap bed liner option to coat the storage/platform in the works for my truck bed.

Probably more than it should have as I didn’t shop around and went with their mid range product. $279 for everything but the windshield.

So far, so good! It still looks great. Before I applied the bedliner, I used a scotchbrite pad and scuffed it up really well then wiped it down with some rubbing alcohol. I had some flat black primer on hand so I gave it a very light coat before spraying on the bedliner. I used the duplicolor spray in the pic...AF986371-E2CD-43A3-B2E7-41D35236A8D0.jpg

How did you wore the switch? I’m struggling with wiring my rear one.

My family and I rented an RTT for a camping trip this summer to test it out and see how we like it.

Finally an excuse to order the bed rack!

With the current great deal on (check their vendor forum) I have one of these coming my way (hopefully soon). Hard to beat that price.
