What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Totally agree. My Ranger was an XLT so it had carpet. I kept buying floormats till i found ones that covered most of the carpet. I believe the Ranger edge model used the thick vinyl floors from the fleet models and people loved them. Funny how something from a lesser model actually makes more sense.

 

Finally got around to replacing the OME885/Bilstein4600/Toytec Leveling spacer with the Toytec5100/521600.... also did the ECGS bushing swap and changed front diff fluid while I had it apart.... if anyone is interested in the OME885/Bilstein4600/Toytec spacers the set is for sale in the classifieds under Cap'n Skidmarks Taco Stand....they have 68k miles on and nothing is wrong with them

 

Howdy y’all 3rd gen owner here about to make the switch to a dark grey 2015. I can’t find out where to purchase the piece around grille that is either black or color matched instead of the chrome it comes with. Can someone point me in right direction? TIA

going to spray between leaves liberally and see what happens. Other people have had good luck with similar products like Slick Plate

 

I'm just gunna try wd40. Or spray silicon

 

Debadged and rebadged yesterday. Big shout out over to the guys at TVD Vinyl Decals. They came out awesome! Also ripped apart my dash and painted all the silver air vent surrounds & gauge cluster rings. Put a decal on the back as well.

 

Jack up the rear, let the leafs hang, pry apart the leafs, remove and clean the vinyl disks, relube with a high durability/waterproof grease, reinstall, redo with standard maintenance. I tried everything before I did this. Every manner of spray on shit didnt work. You gotta get the dirt out and regrease. You can also get replacement disks from dobinsons or OME, then you should be able to take a grease gun with a pin valve and regrease via the holes in the leafs

Parts got dropped off to me at work.
TRD Pro grille looks good but the white grille has scratches in it.
Brought the white one back to the dealership and had them order another one.
Both boxes were opened then resealed

Dropped the front bumper off to be painted.

 

How much did the exterior decals cost you? They look nice.

 

Replaced these shitty bushings with some new

Ya I figured my wd40 trick wont last long but jesus I needed something in the mean time

 

So close yet so far. Went to the dealer and bought some atf ws, planned on doing a transmission flush myself. Fluids plus gasket and filter im sitting at $160. Dealer charges $199. Which includes a cleaning process....made sure its a flush not a drain and fill so it seems worth it. Going to do the diff and transfer myself

 

The surround is not separate from the grill. You order the whole assembly from the dealer in the color you want. I think I paid about $135 for mine.
