What size shackles are you peeps using? I just bought some 3/4 with isolators and washers and they bounce all over the place and keep hitting the metal on the bumper which will in turn chip off the powdercoating.

3/4" D ring's are standard design fare for all our products.

Toss the D rings in with your recovery straps and use them when needed, not many leave them on the bumpers in day to day.

i put two washers on both sides of the d rings and they hold very snug. No flopping all around.

Those ones I have on are just 3/4” smittybilt with some no name isolators. They are pretty stiff, I have to physically move them. The rubber washers have a small lip on the inside diameter. Just make sure they are turned in toward the bumper mount......

That’s where all my extras are! I will remove mine once I get a flat link. It’s just a matter of time until someone will steal d-rings if left on a bumper. Meth heads take anything shiny!

I bought some Crosby's and then a set of daystar isolators. The passenger side still flops like hell.
Drivers side is secured by the hook.
Me too. Not hard to slip off at all for a crack daddy!

Two rubber spacers on each side of the D ring, zero play, zero flop, zero slop

Everyone I know only puts them on the bumpers before they may need them. 30 bucks a piece it would suck for someone to steal them- plus they are a pain to stop rattling anyway. Why keep them on 24/7?

The cheap $10-15 D rings are not worth saving a few $$. Usually made in china from inferior metal and 4 3/4T rated. The $30 USA made ones that are the exact same size are rated at 6 1/2T, that says something.
Now throw a 10K or 12K winch on your rig and do a doubled up pull with a pulley block and theres potential for over double the rated load of a 4 3/4T D ring thats securing the pulley. my $.02

So I guess I'm a Poser and keeping up with the H2 crowd, I say go eat glass on that note. But anyway the older rounded isolator didn't cover enough of the shackle and kept hitting the bumper. Don't need another reason over here in the salt belt to chip off powdercoating and have it start rusting. So I bought a new style of isolator that covers more of the shackle and like above some Daystar isolators. Works like a charm very if any movement and zero hitting of the bumper. So now I can drive around in Poser H2 Style and represent. I can take some pics of it on the bumper off any other posers want to pose with me.20190503_162732.jpg 20190503_162701.jpg

Pics of my Poser H2 Shackles and 1 showing how the rubber part hits the bumper and not the shackle.
