I remember back in our deer lease days we would show up with enough rib eyes, ribs, fajitas, and beer for 2 weeks (we only went for a couple days). We would cook/drink half the first night then we would go out and hunt the next morning. When we came back from hunting while we skinned the deer my uncle would go and make breakfast. The best one he made was he got some rib eyes from the night before, cube them, heated them up, then scrambled em in with some eggs. To top if off he made some salsa by using a molcajete to grind down the serranos, tomatoes, and then tossed in some onions. The thing that made this average breakfast stand out is that he would collect all the white stuff left in the container from the previous night's meat and melt it down to mix the salsa.

I used to have oatmeal every day; 4 cups, raw, drowned in water and a splash of OJ

‘Remote’ is an understatement. I’ve been there and it’s actually more like ‘desolate.’

Helluva good lunch getting to finally meet up, Gary! Thanks for lunch.

Between where you were and where I was, there isn't a great, accessible BBQ place, so Tex-Mex it was.

You got to see me in better shape than when I dragged my hind-end through @Misplaced Nebraskan 's hood a year or so ago.

Good chatting with you and putting a face to the name! Will be in touch about the upcoming cook-off :anonymous:.

Now I know what it feels like to be the guy with an expensive pellet pooper with no Wi-Fi. Harsh crowd.
