I've heard you can do it with Carista. It's definitely cheaper than Techstream and probably easier to use. Have you used it?

I just searched Amazon for "Techstream Toyota" and one of them was Prime for $40. Carista is on your App Store and you'll need to buy a dongle for about $20-$30 from what I've seen.

Who pissed in your cheerios?

LOL just trying to help. Give a man a fish, teach a man to fish, or something like that. Either way, with that Carista adapter ($20) you can do codes and clearing for free, but to access the advanced controls to change factory stuff (only for 4runners, not available for Taco's) you'll need to buy a $10 week long pass to the paid app functions.

Not available for Tacomas? Hmm, point for Techstream then...

Correction, Carista doesn't do advanced stuff for 2nd gen Tacoma's, seems they say it does for 3rd gen, in case anyone has one of those. I know nothing about Techstream, though it looks much more complicated maybe?

Most likely a lot more complicated. It's what Toyota Dealerships use to change settings on our vehicles. Very powerful, very complicated.

I thought ER was supposed to remove stitches no charge if they were the ones that put them in.
Is that only true some places?
They wanted to charge me ER fee again so i didnt let them unstitch me.

Just remove them yourself. Clip one side of the knot, then pull the knot. Small scissors/sharp knife and some hemostats/pliers/tweezers are all you need.

I want a professional to see it. It's right at a joint so if I bend my thumb and it splits back open, need someone that can address it. It weeped a few drops of blood between a stitch on sunday when I changed dressing. Not 100% certain it's healed enough to remove. Also still have a numb/tingling spot to ask about. Today makes 10 days though.

Also, 2 knots are stuck in scab. Not sure I could pull without a hell of a sting.

You'll have numbness there for a long time, possibly always. If it opens up a bit, no big deal. No different than having a small cut with no stitches. Cosmesis would be the biggest reason to keep it tightly closed, but it's a finger and cosmesis isn't usually a high concern. You can drive to Nashville and I'll look at it/pull the stitches/give you more stitches for free.

Super glue it. If you were near Florence I would stitch it for you. I carry super glue and suture kits while shearing.

Me and a few friends are going to get tickets to this soon. Apparently they're already almost sold out.
