Ok I got all the way to the wires under the steering wheel and now I'm drawing a blank. The instructions that came with it aren't helping and all the videos I've found online are through the passenger side.

Why not just run them under the dash to the other side?

I may as well do it this way if I can find the right wires. The guys at the shop said to 100% run it though the drivers side.

The only other easy option would be find the wires in the harness where ever you are and tap in there. Not sure WHERE or even IF they run to that side of the truck. I would assume they do....

I just jumped them onto the driver side rear door lock inside the B-pillar. I am assuming that you put the electric pop-a-lock on your tailgate?
I used the rear door, so that I could still just open the drivers door, without the rest of the doors and tailgate unlocking.
Pretty simple, however it was a little time consuming.
I used a tester to find the hot wire and then return and just jumped on those wires, with a suitcase...

The instructions say pull the 10 pin IC1 connector and attach the blue p&l wire to the black wire and the green p&l to the blue wire but theyre two black wires

If you run it to the passenger side there's a bunch of videos telling you what wire to tap. Don't remember off the top of my head but it's not hard

But you have time to get on a forum for help. Maybe you should have done your research before you started, not while in the middle of it. Piss poor planning on your part. Don't ask for help because of your laziness. Go youtube it if its so dire that you finish.

Ok weird, I kind of got it going. I used the black wire that was the same gauge but when I unlock on the key fob it locks the tailgate. When I lock on the key fob it unlocks the tailgate. Tailgate wires are correct though

That’s not how’s read the instructions, they even give you the PIN numbers so you can ignore the colors. But that’s the wrong connector, and green goes to green (pin 1) and blue to red (pin 3). Page 14 of the pdf.
