Well OME got delivered today. Needed signature. Wife was on a conference call and didn’t go to door to sign. So had to schedule for pick up at Walgreens. Apparently FedEx and Walgreens have partnered and have pick up there. Who knew!

 

Good to know. I’ve had this one listed for about 8 months I think. $2000 non running and the only bad rust is in the passenger floor pan.

I told you they'd be good. They were great to me.

Yes and no. Dave has these tires I have and has proven them to be great, his only complaint was how loud they are. He also ran a smaller size. Other than John Michael I do believe I am the only one on 35s in here and a 35 mud tire is much harder to keep in balance than anything smaller. That being said treadwrights are known sometimes to have some balancing issues, mine really are minor just enough to notice.

Would I buy them again? Yeah probably, just a different size.

This is messed up. The WEW mounts have been on the market for quite a while. While they are expensive, they are very well thought out and are made solid. The copy of their product (by an un-named competitor unless you saw the post).......seems kinda sad.

 

sad in what way? just the fact that they copied them? or the fact they don't look as strong/secure?

I agree either way lol, but I do understand wanting to make a cheaper option..

 

Sad in the way that a large company copied the product of a small business that supports the off road community (in California...but still).

Sad in the way that they took a well designed product and made a half ass copy of it.

I have been a fan of the stuff that Wheel Every Weekend does since what seems like the start of their business. Seeing how much they support the groups that lobby for land use rights out west is awesome.

 

ah yeah, i agree with you...but that's the world we live in. you pay for what you get, some people don't want to pay higher prices. kinda weird to see a large company do it that poorly though..
