2017 TRD PRO, been hearing this awful rattling noise coming from what i think is the front of the dash, possibly tweeter cover, or even the sensor for the auto lights? Anyone else with this issue. Anyone pin point where the noise is coming from, and is there any tips, other than listening to radio cranked all the time!

I have the similar rattle issue. I think I’ve pin pointed it to the tweeter cover. It drives me crazy. I hear it and turn the radio down and I push one corner of the cover and the rattle stops. I let go and it’s back.

I just haven’t gotten around to taking it apart to fix it.

I have the same issue coming from my front right tweeter cover. I haven't solved it yet, but my truck is going in for its 6 months maintenance check up and recall, so I'll have the dealership deal with it there.

I gotcha. Yeah that’s a little more challenging. Luckily I only drive the truck on the weekends, so don’t hear it everyday.

Whenever I end up upgrading to the Subaru tweeters I plan on looking more into it.

Like many on here I had the same rattling noise coming from the passenger side tweeter cover. I had the dealership fix it. From what I can tell it looks like they added extra adhesive or double sided tape under the cover.

Most likely the tweeter cover. Mine only dies it when the temperature outside is cold. Like 50 or less

I have a high pitch buzzing type noise that happens on acceleration coming from that area..I think. Can't find it for the life of me since it's on the passenger side and only happens while driving!

Am I on a beemer forum? It’s a truck. If it doesn’t rattle, you aren’t using it for what it was designed for. It’s like scratches, rock chips, etc. They will happen.

My friend who works at Mercedes said this is all they do when people come in bitching about rattles. Benz even has a PN for this felt.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
There is a video on here that shows exactly how to solve the problem. I'll find it today. it should be a sticky.

Basically- your a-pillar that holds the airbag- its a soft rubber-like plastic for the airbag (so it can break-away), and it rubs on the tweeter cover at the bottom. if you take the two 10mm bolts out that hold the oh shit handle on, pop that A-pillar cover off, and look at the bottom (where it corresponds to the tweeter cover)- you will see some fins that hold it in place. I bet you will see some white rub marks on it. get some felt tape (mentioned above, Amazon has it cheap) and put some that tape on those areas where you see the white marks. Your annoying squeak will be gone.
Just know- once you get rid of that squeak-others will pop up, and your passenger seat will start making noises...ha

Took me MONTHS to track that crap down, and with alot of the search button on here, I nailed it.

I had the same issue with a 17 Sr access cab, never did get the issue resolved before I traded it. Had mine replaced by Toyota twice and it was a new redesign for the fix. Opened a case for noise issues and field tech was even stumped as to why it was still buzzing. I traded it for a 19 and it does the same thing. I folded a business card real tight and put it in the gap between the cover and A pillar and has stopped it so far.
