I just use the factory installed backup cameras that I have in my face , paired with some blindspot mirrors. That combo seems to work pretty well even with the camper shell.

Tbh. They came out smoother than the hand held nibblers. I dont trust myself with tequila, cut off wheel, and beer. So i did good! The nibblers made the fender wavy

Does the icom get hot like that? I've considered putting my kenwood in like that, but with all the heatsinks on the back and bottom it seems like a bad idea. Instead I'm looking for one with a remote mount face.

Does anyone know if the 3rd generation suspension will be a match for the 1st gen (2003 prerunner), and how the truck will sit after? Just curious if anyone has done this to their first gen and what lift, if any they gained? Thanks

I understand, but it has back and forth play. Not just swivel.

I added a washer and now it just swivels with no back and forth play.

Nope, won't work, completely different. The steering rack is on the front on a 3rd gen, back on a 1st gen, different UCA/LCA different struts. Would take a lot of fabrication, as in cutting off all the mounting brackets and re-welding, to get things to work. At that point, you might as well SAS.

Nope. Totally different size, valving, and mounting. Even if you did get it to fit, it would ride like crap. Remember third Gens are bigger and heavier trucks.

Hmmm, cheap spacer lifts always pop up on KSL but never for 1st gens.

Kinda wanna throw one on the 02 to level it out a bit.

I remember the day mine started doing that. Like all of a sudden it was loose. WTF!

So felt around under the seat. Did a visual, nothing. Then felt along the right side seat rail, between the center console and the seat and there they were. Two half moon shaped pieces that up to a few moments before had been a spacer the kept tension on that arm.

IIRC, it had a formed shape, so not as thick as the washer you are using but considering the molded spots, some spots on the ring/disc/washer/spacer might have been as think as your spacer.

Did a couple things today. Got my O2 sim on cause engine light was intermittently coming on with magnaflow cats. Also got my dynamic tensioner on and got like 2 pounds of boost out of it. Still only averaging 6 with spikes into 7 in 2nd gear WOT with the 2.2 pulley.
