I haven't been sailing in while but these two were the last vessels I delivered before I left San Diego two years ago.

(I have a great story where the rub marks on the hull came from:anonymous:)

They are both ironically still for sale the asking price the last time I checked on the huntingford was $114,000 which after delivering from LA I will tell you is not worth it. The CSY Cutter S/V Enchantress on the other hand was originally owned by a retired CG commander in charge of marine inspection it is in imaculate condition and already commercially registered. I may have taken my time delivering her ;).

Last ditch effort to prevent water ingress from the swing keel through hull bolts. Beveled rubber washers...pretty confident on these creating a good seal. Previously I had butyl tape in slightly countersunk holes, but there's enough torque and movement on it that even butyl probably moved too much. These things we're fairly thick and had to be threaded on with pliers as is, after flattening down, I'm sure they will handle the movement

Old school Hunter 22. Absolutely slow as shit. But a great sailing party barge/over nighter

Last pic lol, I chuckle every time I look out the living room Window and see this mass staring in at me. Like what a rediculous sight to see out your window

Looks pretty slick. I raced a Capri 30 for several years. Ultralight, so pretty fast reaching boat.

I'd love to get into some sort or 20-25' racer with a little comfort for up here but only thing I can find reasonable around here are Kirby 25's and the running backstays kind of scare me a bit because I'll always have inexperienced crew and have no experience with them. Any insight? A J22 is what I'd love to find, but rarely come up for sale. I know there is a fleet in Halifax but haven't seen any go up for sale.

Wow, running backs on a 25 footer. Smaller boats usually try to promote one design racing which normally go for simple and cost effective. That seems a bit extreme. A J22 would be sweet. Best to see what active Fleets are in your area for some fun one design racing. Plus, with that comes help from other Fleet boat owners.

Oh!! My buddy Jordan just got mast up storage for his s2 9.2? I think is what it is, at bear lake. So hopefully I'll come down and crew on his boat for a couple of races. I could bring mine, or the catamaran my friend got...but his is fast and very well equipped, and it'll be fun to sail somone else's boat for a change and not have any real responsibility.

J29’s are the big thing in the fleet up here, also seem to be hard to come by. A little bigger than I want to jump into yet. I crew on a J30 now though, which is the same hull as a 29 I think ?

Well, maybe stick with crewing on someone elses boat. Cheaper.

If it flies, floats, or fornicates: Rent it.

Your right, my CL16 is very little maintenance and no berth fees, and can sail solo
