If you have a purple wire, that is the one you want to cut.

 

Did my install recently (got my info from this thread):
Rear camera harness: connect the orange wire to an open switchpro slot. Disregard the red wire as it is a live 12v wire. Switchpro will now provide the 12v.
Front camera relay harness: connect the green wire to a second switchpro slot along with the positive wire from the front camera. Ground the black wire from the relay. Also ground the camera. Connect video feed from front camera to the relay.

On the switchpro, make the front camera the master button and the rear camera a slave.

 

How far does this camera stick out of the pro grill, I know some cameras mounted on the pro grill don't sit flush.

Need some help from the TW smart people:

Hooked up my Anytime Backup Camera (ABC), and when I put my car into Reverse (switch is in the middle position), the front camera comes on...


When I push the “Front” button on the switch, the back camera comes on...


When I push the “Back” button on the switch, the front camera comes on...


I can push the from or back camera anytime when I’m driving to engage the cameras and they come up, it’s just backwards on the switch (Front is Back, Back is Front). But leaving it in the middle position (nothing selected) the normal radio screen is there like how it should be, but when i put it into reverse, I get the front camera...


I’m not electronically inclined so any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated...

Here’s how the switch was wired up... there weren’t any directions and all the videos I watched on YouTube didn’t have the same color wires as I do... Or at least I couldn’t find any...



I did notice that the switch had a diode jumping between the Green and Orange wires... I didn’t pull that out, figure if it came like that, it was meant to be there...



Tried emailing the company, but haven’t gotten a reply yet... Hoping the TW community can help...

 

Your RCA cables are probably hooked up incorrectly. I had a very similar problem when doing my install. Take a look at the instructions and make sure you have those RCA's hooked up properly.

 

There is only one way that they can connect. The RCA from the Camera plugs into the RCA connection with the "Sharpie Mark" on it. The other 2 can only plug in one way as coming out of the HU they are Male and Female...

I could be wrong, but I unplugged everything and looked at what was in front of me and this was the only way it all went together... Unless the "sharpie mark" was marked on the wrong RCA? I didn't try that as all the videos I watched said to plug the camera into that one...

 

There are instructions on the site if you haven't seen it. Bottom of the page shows which wires connect to the switch.

Pretty sure that's a diode, not a resistor, in the switch harness. Permits the electrical signal to travel in one direction only.

That is the relay. It is the same one that comes in the kit you already installed. Other than wire connectors, that is all that is changed inside the dash following my previous mockup drawing.


I thought I screwed it up when I first installed, but I grounded out and shorted my wiring near my SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) switch. SPST literally means one way is off and one way is on and it only controls one circuit. I placed this switch in the door jam. When I placed the seatbelt back in place is when I pinched the wire and shorted it out. Be careful there if you choose the same placement.





I mounted the camera under my Diamondback Tonneau cover. I fashioned up a mounting bracket and used velcro. However, I just coincidentally noticed this week that the adhesive failed on the industrial velcro. I might seek another mounting solution. I've had it mounted for a couple months now with no issue.







You'll notice that I used a 4-prong connector to run the wire through the wall of the bed so that I could disconnect the camera if I needed to remove the tonneau cover. It's waterproof as well. The 4 wires that run to/from the camera are the positive and ground for the camera's power and the video positive and negative. Hope that makes sense.

In the handwritten diagram above, the new relay that I added for this setup is the relay on the right and the green line that represents the Aux cable for the new camera is labelled O/B. The extension for the camera wire, once cut, has the positive (yellow) and negative (black) for the video as well as the positive (red) for the camera. The fourth wire needed to travel to the camera is a ground, which can be made near the camera most likely.

It turned out well, but I need a better camera (not on my immediate list) that can handle light/dark changes well since it's sitting in the dark looking into the light.

To use the cameras, they works as follows:
Reverse = Rear camera as normal
DPDT to "Front" = Anytime Front Camera
DPDT to "Rear" = Anytime Rear Camera
DPDT to "Rear" and SPST to "On" = Anytime Bed Camera
