2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

This is the one I use. Maybe just a touch pricier than other options that could be used, but I want it to not shit out on me obviously, and I'll be using it for when my wife gets her 4R and wants to tune it, and whenever I get a fun weekend car and want to tune that as well.

Win10 takes 16-20GB of space iirc, so I went with 64GB over 32. This laptop isn't a speed demon, but it's not slow either. Suits my purpose just fine.

 

Regarding a laptop, say the computer wears out/grows old over the years. Is it possible to transfer the program to another laptop in the future? I'm asking because my present pc laptop is already dated, I no longer use it (I use mac), and I really don't want to buy another pc laptop just for this one program.

 

Yes, you can get another laptop if necessary. You'll need to work with Mat to transfer though, since you'll have a new system ID

Anyone know: If buying a used tune kit, can I buy a MT license for my truck even if the original purchaser of the tune had an automatic?

 

Should be no problem as the kit is just the OBDII adapter and the tactrix cable.

For the issue of rev hang. We are addressing this from multiple avenues, including developing our own table to help solve this.
Testing for 04B13 will be available likely by this weekend >
This table takes into account current Torque value for request (in conjunction to throttle code) and Current throttle position for 0% accelerator + Clutch in

Ignition will be retarded to help with the rev hang. There is a default safety limit @ 1600 RPM so that ignition will recover to stock idle below 1600 RPM.

@OVTune I'm also very encouraged by the fact that you're using "clutch in" data for this. The digging around in this area of the calibration may lead to a solution for another pet peeve of mine.
