Got alot I want to do but we'll see, that's what the forum is for...
I have a 08 Access cab 6 speed and lately when I upshift from 4th to 5th mostly when I am on the gas above 3k rpm's it either grinds or I have to gently wait for it to go into gear. Down shift from 6th is fine, any1 else ever had this issue or heard of? Thank god for warranty

    Lots baby!
Pretty much everyone that has an X-Runner complains about this. However, it is usually closer to the 5000 RPM level.

Took it to Toyota dealer today & multi parts order about 3 weeks away. They want to rebuild the trans with updated parts, throw out bear, synchronizer... ext, I have 28k & they are covering it plus I have a 7 year 100k wart. Hope all goes well, I will be skipping 5th for now but 3rd seems to be doing as well on the ride home... I saw another post about humming noise @ idle or bussing... Will update as I know more.

Mine will grind 4th on upshift at high rpm. Only happens sometimes. As far as the dealer is concerned, I am a liar who does not have a clue how to operate a clutch.

Finally heard back from the dealer, trans rebuild is going to be finished today, they did the rear tsb for the suspension and fixed my creeky clutch pedal also under a tsb. Gotta love warranty.

Good luck getting them to resolve your issue. Request to take a tech for a ride, I have heard that will show them the issue.
