How hard is doing a headgasket on IS300?

 

Since 2017 around Xmas time. Always liked the IS, this wheel is a manual wheel which if you know ISs is very hard to come by

 

Not the worst thing in the world, it's an I6 so lots has to move to get everything.
But you can leave the exhaust in the bay usually

 

Most IS300 are autos so the wheel comes with push button shifters

Fucking A....bushings in the passenger font leaf springs are making tons of noise again and no amount of greasing them is making it go away this time. Gonna have to tear into them this weekend.

Since greasing them last time made it go away for a little while it's gotta be bad bushings...luckily I have an extra set of Daystars still in my kit. Weird that these would be bad with less than 20k miles on them though.

Kind of wonder if maybe something is up with the bolt and the grease isn't getting pumped into the bushings like it should be. Most if it seems to ooze out from the top of them. Makes a bloody mess

 

I wear pants 99.9% of the time, makes me self conscious when I do wear shorts because my legs are blindingly white

 

Pull the zerk and take a look. Then put in a new zerk and see if it changes.

I have one too, I had plans to wire the 'paddle shifters' up to control the stereo but realized I'd rather have a newer Tacoma wheel.

It'll all plug-n-play otherwise, the clockspring has the same single stage airbag plug too once you change springs.

 

Sweet, yeah you should do the newer taco wheel and sell the IS one.

It's yours if you want it. Toyota never changed the steering spline count in over 30 years.
