rain and more rain but that's ok last year we had a drought

 

I hear an accidental short on them battery cars can lead to a catastrophic fire which would pretty much kill anything living in the car and clear out any biohazard ... So I heard that is :}

Here in Arkansas it is around $2.50/gal. Geez who is running that state of California?

 

Morning all

No pipelines into the state, we still drill alot but the refineries all have maintenance or a convenient accident.
And the shipping laws say we can only get American oil tankers to bring in fuel.

And summer blend just started

And there are many hands in the pot

$4.13 a gallon

 

$2.69 here

 

I suspect this to be the biggest factor, no?

 

According to this article, we pay $1.26 a gallon in just taxes, fees, and some mystery surcharge.
Thankfully my wife and I are able to carpool!

Going to try to get another hour or so of sleep and it’s raining

 

Meh, the taxes pay for the roads and infrastructure, im ok with that. Its when the refinery has an issue when gas is finally at the lowest price.
And as soon as the problem is announced, the price at the pump jumps up. They could at least wait for delivery.

 

While some of the roads are still in pretty bad shape (like the 5 freeway going north through Burbank - but that is very high truck traffic), I do see a lot of them being repaved lately.

It still amazes me that as soon as we get out of California the price goes down at least a dollar a gallon. Other states have roads to maintain as well?

We got back to WI and temp was 42 degrees, cloudy and crappy. First thing we did when we got into the Rav4 was turn on the heated seats. Our neighbor took care of Star and Coco. They were happy to see us. We took Rosebud to a doggy daycare. I still have to go and get her.
