    They that is like about 20 miles.. You can just see the lights from 29 palms from there at night thinking you are in 29, and it comes 20 mins later... So for 20 mins you are mind fucked in the middle of the desert just waiting for some sign of civilization!

    I live on the mesa is Yucca Valley. It is 5 degrees cooler then in town and 10 to 20 degrees cooler then Palm Springs.. So it is not that bad living in the desert, if you live where I do..

    Forgot to add: Johnson Valley OHV park is 15 mins from my house. Burns Canyon trail is 10 mins from my house, and Joshua Tree park is 10 mins from my house.
