I might still be in one if it did. The automatic was plenty good in that truck though.

The dealer has it now. They acted like they have never heard of the issues with the transmission shifting and the cruse control. I had to show them the post of others with the same complaint. Prob nothing will happen but when Toyota contacted me asking how I like my new Tacoma I unloaded on them. They asked me to take it to the dealer for a check up. I’ll keep burning up their home page with negativity until they fix the problem or give me my trunda back. Don’t know how Toyota allowed this truck to go to market. We have four Toyota’s in our house hold and they all drive great. My wife drove my Tacoma for the first time and asked what’s wrong with the truck. It’s so slow and the gas peddle is slow to react. I said yup. Don’t even try the cruse control.

I did, the 4.0 had just barley enough power to haul my 1000lbs of tools. Test drove the 3rd gen and no way was that car engine going to haul my stuff.
Now lets talk bad fuel milage, nothing has broken, only 40 thousand miles, will haul 3000 lbs in the bed.

After 2 weeks with my first Toyota ever I have two big disappointments: poor seat comfort and a slight shudder/vibration when accelerating and decelerating.

Hard to believe on a vehicle with such strong reputation that sells over 240,000 units every year.

If you are suggesting that I move on to a Ford...that doesn’t address the fact that Tacomas have some basic, common and apparently well-documented issues.

You don’t know how to type...?

It is your problem if you find it offensive that others express issues with their Tacomas.

I did some research on the Tacoma before purchasing. I didn’t see anything about the poor power and transmission issue. Once I did a search for transmission problems it showed up. Would love to have my old trunda back right about now.

You understand that continuing to post here after 11 pages of punch/counterpunch/troll/etc is just pouring some fresh gas on this dumpster fire lol.

    Let it die.

Because there isn’t anything wrong. It’s different then your previous truck.

You didn’t research more than five minutes then. There is three years of content on the subject here.

I just spent 42000 bucks for a truck that sucks. I’m not going to let it die. If you have a problem with it dont read it.

I know it sucks to hear but I would part ways with it and cut your losses, sometimes it just happens.

There is a lot of good knowledge on here and most certainly some well meaning people but after a certain point, it really comes down to making a decision that is personalized to you and not everyone on a forum will buy into it and you will hear from that membership as well. You will know when you have either had enough and it is time to bail or to see if some of the aftermarket upgrades like OVtune will get you what you need out of it.

Either way, good luck with it, ultimately you deserve to be satisfied after spending north of $40K on a new truck.
