I'm always amazed at what they get away with on those shows and also what they don't. I remember Freiberger and Dulcich got busted in Arizona for not having plates and tried to get the cop to say it was ok for them to drive out of the state into New Mexico but the cop wouldn't on camera. So they had to tow out of state and then they just continued to drive their car again once in New Mexico.

My understanding is that because the LEDs are so much more efficient, they don't generate enough resistance for older electrical systems to detect and power them. Had the same problem in my 2005 Accord, newer cars don't seem to have issues. On the Taco, my workaround for a few weeks has been to have an old bulb in the dome light, and two led map lights. The three lights are wired together, and apparently the resistance from the old style bulb is enough to let the led map lights work. Once I got the resistors soldered on everything just works. The LEDs are a nice, cheap upgrade, the old map lights were pretty dim.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Just got it installed at about 9:00 last night, so don't really know yet lol.

A buddy of mine has the exact same one in his truck and he loves it.

My 15 year frame rust window closes in October. Took the truck to a dealer for inspection about 6 months ago and they passed it. When I was doing the rear suspension I found this missing chunk. I'd love to get a new frame, should I take it back in? Try a different Toyota dealer in town?

I would defiantly take it in, might be worth while trying another dealership but the one you went to should take notice especially when you point it out.

For what it is worth I have replaced every bulb in my 02 with leds and have not had to add any resistors at all and I do have the dome/map light with leds.

I wouldn't be 'defiant' about it, that might not go over so well with the dealership ;)

Might try the same dealer but if you have others in the area I would go to a different one, some seem to be more open to the frame warranty program than others from what I can tell. Make sure to point out the spot you found

Any dealership that sees that hole should not have an issue with the frame warranty, if they do call corporate.

If that’s the case wouldn’t there be excess oil on the plug. The plug is completely dry. It just looks like it’s been smoked for 8 hrs. Dry black smoke covering the plug.

Yep, doesn't sound like it's that.

15 years from the in service date I believe for the frame warranty.

Replaced spark plugs, cleaned the MAF and throttle body yesterday. UNREAL how much of a difference it makes. Whole new truck.
