preferences for things like this must originate from somewhere, either by what the person sees growing up ie what his father drove/wheels his father liked or what people around his neighborhood did. However, what I dont get is how can someone associate the bling factor with a Tacoma? it kind of defeats the purpose...i would think the person would have bought a dodge or ford instead :notsure:

OP, Props for doing what you want with your truck. It's definitely something different as you don't see it too much.

yall need to chill. i am probably one of the most off-road people on TW. i have, and continue to, put my truck though shit that most won't. like i said if i didn't off road as much as i do ( will never happen) i would get some giant wheels to roll on.

I think you're the only one getting upset... we're all just having fun. Props for doing what you want with your truck, nothing wrong with it, but certain mods come with some joking around. If you don't like other people's opinions, a public forum probably isn't the best place to ask for them...

24" are weak! Like others said, Go Big or GO HOME!

OK,no I didn't do it, but when I lived in Missouri there was a mechanic that had really jacked his Jeep up. Used the old tires off the Deuce-and-a-half trucks on that thing. I wish I had a pic. The damn door sil was just about eye level.

is the OP going to bag it? I love playing in the dirt and mud but I still have my 93 s10 that lays frame, it's fun to just cruise around in it.

There is a member here that did it to his Tacoma and it looks freakin sweet. I'd put a link up but i'm on my phone.

i just dislike lifted trucks with rubber band tires

Nothing wrong with what the OP wants to do to his truck, everyone has a different style. Just not my cup of tea as I'm more of a function over form kind of guy that likes to charge through rough terrain and not even think twice about my tires popping, but that's just me.

the "go big or go home" cliche lacks conviction ...we're talking about a tacoma here. if you lived by that rule, you'd drive a 1 ton ford/chevy/dodge. ..or even an tundra.

while i personally think it's looks rediculous, i fully support the right each person has to do whatever the fuck they want with their own vehicle. ...but i'm still going to point and laugh when i see your funny looking truck on the road.
