    I’ve said it before, it’s all fun and games until you got a mountain lion who makes a habit of eating your chickens/cats/dogs/children/cows/ant farms/lambs and basically ruining your life on Instagram and Facebook. There are ways to eliminate them. That dude is a trapper, and while trappers are the nerds of the hunting world and I myself personally am not a fan of trapping (I’d prefer to detonate a shape charge across one from a distance because they typically mad as hell) I can’t hate on the guy because it just doesn’t touch my heart like it touches others. I have made a vow of vengeance against them. I believe it was a mountain lion who took my tortoise, laser beam.


    But the guy got a temp ban for being douchey, which he was, because he was intentionally being inflammatory.

    Laser beam was only 42 years old. He was still only a child.

    I’m a life-long hunter. Stuff like this is tough for guys like us because it comes down to personal moral judgements a lot of us don’t really want to make. I personally find trapping abhorrent and unnecessary in today’s world, but I do like to hunt so some would call me a hypocrite - and maybe with reason.

    It comes down to your own value and judgement. Luckily, I only have to worry about myself and don’t have to make that decision for anyone else. . .

    I remember once in boy scouts they were trying to teach us the basics of trapping. I was like “bitch I got a job and responsibilities. Ain’t nobody got time for trapS THIS ain’t Rambo or Vietnam”

    It’s all fun and games until mountain lions stop fearing people and start eyeing bicyclists as brightly wrapped treats...

    No shit. I knew a guy that used to run a trap line in jersey for foxes. He’d get up three hours earlier than he had to sometimes before work just to check his traps. I admire his dedication but - damn!

    See and this goes to show it’s all about emotions. Some fellas up here were like “yo, you wanna go coyote hunting?” I’m like “nah. I wanna die having never killed any kind of dog ever” while foxes are hella scandalous, they don’t pose a danger to humans and I personally couldn’t kill a fox. Those are my feelings. ALSO fox shocks are the best ever so there’s that.

    It’s funny. I feel exactly the same way about foxes. I used to feed a family of them when I lived in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. It got to the point where I could walk right up to them while the kits were playing and the mom would just lay around all chilled cause she knew I wouldn’t hurt them. I feel the same way about black bears.

    But not grizzlies. Fuck grizzlies...

    I've witnessed people miss BUILDINGS with an RPG. A mountain lion let alone a housecat would be a miracle, especially if moving. Shrapnel frag doesn't count. Direct hits only!
