    Diesel is better for the dakar i bet, more mpg means smaller tank needed, smaller tank means less weight. Except A Diesel engine isn’t what you call light

    You don't need a CDL for them obviously, but all Pickup trucks in California has to be registered as Commercial. You need to get a weight certification to transfer ownership too I believe.
