So Sunday I decided to install 700 lbs springs on my TRD Bilsteins thinking it wouldn't be too bad since I'm rocking a full steel bumper and 80 lbs Odyssey battery. I did it without a spring compressor (not too fun).

Whelp I was wrong. The BRO lean is strong. The combo of having Decked and hardshell on a AAL doesn't help in back either. My leafs are flat.

I had to adjust my headlights for the time being (pointing way up). I'm actually going to upgrade my leaf pack soon though.

It’s not noticeable based on the photo you posted. A true Carolina Squat is recognizable!

The list is long but distinguished
How did you do it without a spring compressor?

HA, that's how my truck looked before I got around to installing the AAL in the back.

I have a first gen, which came factory with the Carolina squat. At least that’s what it seems. I’ve also got a camper shell, and a pack rat tool box full of stuff. I installed the air lift helper springs. I love them! Fully adjustable to whatever your load may be, even without a load. Best part is, it still rides smooth unloaded unlike heavier suspension springs. Since I already had on board air for my lockers, install was pretty simple.

I also think your truck looks great the way it is. Are you sure your tapered driveway isn’t skewing your ride height assessment?

Had the same and recently did the 5+1 leaf pack from blackout14. Gained an inch and some while loaded still. Kinda squeeky though.

Rob, you have the 2015 TRD Pro shocks right? I tried adding 700lb king springs on mine with my ARB up front and the ride was pretty bad going over bumps (like speed bumps and pulling over the curb into my driveway) so I pulled them before I could actually go off-roading. I think I was getting some coil bind - how does yours ride?

Edit: this was really just experimental for me while I had my icons off the truck.

Just give it a little time to settle the new springs.

nooooo only throw on 700lb springs if you have a ton of weight (winch + bumper) in the front! now you need a winch!

plus with the TRD shocks you can't adjust ride height - guess it's time for Kings :spending:
