I went and traded in my tacoma yesterday. I bought the exact same truck, just had less miles on it. The old truck I traded in was pretty high mileage, it had 945 miles, this one only had six miles on it. :D

Here is a crappy picture I took with my iphone when I picked up the truck last night.

I had to give them $7,500 and came out with a payment $0.60 less a month.

    Check out this thread.

Basicly, insurance company gave me $8,000 for the damage. Rather than paying to have it fixed and having a repaired truck that I don't think would have ever been perfect I decided to check out my options. I was able to pay $7,500 and get a new truck which had never been repaired. As a bonus I am able to pocket $500. It seemed like a pretty good decision to me.

Very cool and smart move! You can do the windshield fluid mod with the $500!! :p

Glad it worked out for you all around! (you didn't get hurt in the accident and kept your truck as is!!)

Looks like a win win. The guy who buys your old one will probably be just as happy.
