    $7,500 OBO (price dropped 5/8/19)
    Located in CT

I purchased this 4Runner in January of 2017 in Ottawa, Canada and immediately imported and federalized it myself. Since then I have cared for it, daily-driven it when needed, and done a substantial amount of maintenance and upkeep. It has been my favorite vehicle of all those I have owned. I'm only selling it because I loved this truck so much that I bought a 5th gen 4Runner as a daily driver, and am looking to get back into autocross.

    Specs/features/details:
    2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4
    4.0L V6
    5-speed automatic transmission
    2WD / 4WD HI / 4WD LO / A-TRAC
    White paint
Leather interior w/power adjustable and heated front seats
Rear cargo shelf (no 3rd row)
    Power sunroof
    JBL stereo w/RDS

    Purchased at ~140,000 miles
Current mileage: 153,xxx miles (odometer shows 247,xxx KM)

    Modifications...
    Suspension:
-Old Man Emu 3” lift kit (Nitrocharger Sport shocks and coil springs directly from OME) -- installed 12/2018
-SPC upper control arms (new upper ball joints installed in 2017)
-Sway bars removed (a stock set from a V8 4th gen can be included in the sale)
    Wheels/tires:
-16” Toyota steel wheels painted white
    -255/85/16 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM2 tires
-Matching 5th wheel/tire spare (mounted in factory spot)
    Armor:
-High-clearance front bumper w/CB antenna mount, amber DRLs, round long-range LEDs, and built-in LED fog lights (bumper repainted 12/2018)
    -Rock sliders (repainted 10/2018)
    -Front skid plate
    Mechanical:
    -Hi-Lux snorkel
    -High-clearance tucked exhaust w/Dynomax muffler
    -K&N intake filter (installed 6/2018)
    -Deep-cycle marine battery
    Exterior:
-Roof rack w/perimeter LED lights activated by switch on center console (not in the photos)
-Smittybilt awning (not on the vehicle in photos)
-Projector headlight upgrade (from a later 4th gen 4Runner)
    -LED reverse lights
    -Window visors
    Interior:
    -Trunk perimeter LED lighting
-Drawer system / sleeping platform (can easily be removed)
    -CB mounted in center console
    -Rubber floor mats

Since taking ownership I've done a considerable amount of maintenance and upkeep on the 4Runner. To the best of my memory, maintenance, upgrade, and other work done while I have owned the 4Runner is as follows:
    -Wheel bearings (Feb. 2017)
-Key fob case (Feb. 2017) - OEM Toyota
-Tie rod outer ends (Feb. 2017) - MOOG parts
    -Windshield wipers (Feb. 2017)
-Cabin filter (2017) - EPAuto brand
-Gas cap (2017) - OEM Toyota part
-Windshield (2017) - replaced by Safelite
    -Camshaft position sensors (spring 2018)
-Spark plugs and coil boots (June 2018)
    -Throttle body cleaning (June 2018)
-K&N air intake filter (June 2018)
    -Seafoam injector cleaning (June 2018)
-Catalytic converters and exhaust manifolds -- both banks/sides + new piping up to the cats (August 2018)
-Oxygen sensors -- both banks, both upstream and downstream sensors on each side (August 2018)
    -Air conditioning recharged (August 2018)
    -Oil change (8/15/18)
-Old Man Emu 3” suspension lift -- new shocks/springs (12/2018)
-Top strut mounts (12/2018) - MOOG parts
-Lower ball joints (12/2018) - MOOG parts
    -Alignment (12/2018)
    -Interior LED lights (12/2018)
(I do have receipts for both parts and labor in most cases; I might be forgetting a few things)

    Mechanical condition:
The engine runs smooth as can be and pulls very strong. The prior owner did the head gasket, timing chain, and water pump service with OEM Toyota parts at around 112,000 miles. The transmission shifts great. This truck has an absolute ton of life left in it, and if I were keeping it I absolutely expect to get another 150k miles out of it.

That said, a few issues are present:
-Dents/dings: The truck was taken off-road by both previous owner and myself. -There were scratches and dents prior to my buying it and I have added a few. -There’s nothing catastrophically wrong with the body but it certainly isn't perfect. It could be brought back to very solid condition should you want to invest the time and effort.
-The sunroof works completely fine but makes a clanking noise when hitting the end of its travel. You can avoid this by using the button to stop it just before it hits the end of the track. It does not leak and seals without issue.
-The air conditioning worked perfectly until it randomly started blowing hot air one day last summer. A friend recharged the system and it went back to working perfectly. When fall came around I stopped using the A/C, but we had a random hot day and it didn’t want to cooperate. I’m not sure what the status is on this now since I haven’t had to use the A/C lately as it’s been cold.
-Rear wiper was not working so I removed the arm.
Stereo: Under 1/4 volume it still a little fuzzy. Above 1/4 it is totally fine. Not an issue for me but if you’re somebody who really cares about sound you’ll want to do something about it.
-There’s a little surface rust on the bottom of the tailgate.
-The underside looks rusty but it’s all on the surface. None of the rust jeopardizes the structural integrity of the vehicle. I have had three different independent mechanics verify the frame is in fact in good condition, and wouldn’t have bought it in the first place if it was at all questionable in any way. You could easily restore it to near-perfect health with some elbow grease and an undercoating like POR-15.

    Other assorted items of note:
-The vehicle is completely legal in the USA. I imported and saw it through Customs myself. I had no problems registering it in both New York (in 2017) and then in Connecticut (in 2018). All paperwork is present.
-Because it was originally sold in Canada, the dashboard and gauges/instruments display primary readouts in metric. The speedometer has MPH on the inside ring so you won’t have a problem knowing how fast you’re going but it’s something to be mindful of. I keep a conversion chart for temperature in the vehicle at all times. To some this may be bothersome but to me it has been a fun novelty. Passengers always get a laugh out of it.
-I do still have the original front bumper, original headlights, and a bunch of other assorted parts for the truck.

Sadly it is time to let my beloved 4Runner go. Though I didn’t intend for such to happen, this 4Runner ended up getting a significant amount of use as a daily driver when life dictated that it needed to be used as such. It came in absolutely clutch when I had back surgery and could not operate my primary vehicle’s manual transmission. That is to say, this 4Runner has never let me down. 4WD works phenomenally and it’s a shockingly capable vehicle on the trails. There’s a ton of articulation from the suspension and A-TRAC works surprisingly well. The truck is very comfortable and has many luxury-caliber things to it. As far as finding a four-wheel-drive vehicle where comfort and capability meet in the middle, this is about as good as it gets. It’s just as competent in day-to-day life as it is on the trails. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross-country and back with some off-roading mixed in for fun, and being a Toyota and a 4Runner I wouldn’t worry a single bit about reliability or having any problems along the way.

This 4Runner was a great entry into the world of Toyota 4x4s for me and has shown me how incredible the 4Runner is as a commute vehicle, road-trip operating hub, and off-road companion. It is a fantastic do-it-all vehicle. Though this 4Runner is far from the prettiest 4th gen out there it’s wildly capable off-road and is still in good enough shape to be daily-driven in comfort on both a work commute and the drive to and from the trailhead alike. I love this truck with my heart and soul, and I only hope that it goes to a good home.

    Asking price: $7,999 OBO

Willing to trade for: Miata (NC/NB Mazdaspeed), Abarth 500, FRS/BRZ, Fiesta ST, S2000, S197 Mustang GT

Location: Southwest Connecticut -- willing to travel to make a sale, or can pick you up at the airport should you want to fly in and drive it home

Same, I tried to price it in line with what comparable 4Runners have sold for and still am negotiable for buyers who think otherwise

I drove the truck Friday-Tuesday in my commute and on weekend errands and it really drives beautifully. It's an awesome truck and people stare wherever I take it. Really want it sold quickly and to a good home! All offers considered, price is negotiable...

I sure did post it on there, haven't gotten much interest yet (though somebody extremely close-by did come look at it this past Monday). Would love for it to go to a forum member, especially T4R or TW...

Mid-week bump. Need the truck sold, moving next month and don't have a parking spot for it.

I also have a Smittybilt XRC Gen2 9.5k winch I can include if the buyer wants.
