    Smart man.

Anyone familiar with the clips on the tailgate handles? I found a few threads and they all look the same on the websites (different part numbers) but they could just be using the same generic pic/shape.

    HALP?

Doing a paint test run. They didn’t have the “professional” line enamel paint in quarts, so I got the basic bitch stuff. I put a LOT of primer on and it looks like I didn’t even use any. So these quarts will last awhile.

I certainly won’t do brush on for anything requiring nice aesthetics, but so far my initial impression is that this stuff will be durable as fuck. We’ll see. I have to wait 24 hours for the primer to cure, and then I’ll do the paint.

    Thanks Randall!!

I will be picking some up, hopefully, this weekend and start on my spindles. You saved me time, money and frustration by not having to deal with a powdercoater again!!

Went back to see when I placed an order for this kit. It was April 1st when the order was placed, received April 15th after an issue with their local USPS not scanning and shipping the first kit (second kit was sent), install round 1 was April 20th and found that they sent the wrong harness. Emailed April 22nd to get a replacement harness, replacement harness sent April 23rd, heard nothing until I followed up again April 26th where they said there was another issue with USPS and they would overnight me a harness that would show up on the 27th, but they didn't send it to my home like I asked. Instead, it was shipped to my work and because the office is closed for deliveries on weekends, I didn't receive it until today (April 30th).

    792AA385-80FD-433E-B155-6A7EF53CEA0E.jpg

Install may or may not happen this weekend (Saturday we are picking up stuff from the mother-in-law's and Sunday is the wife's birthday). I might install it Friday after work. If I can't get in installed Friday, Saturday or Sunday, this brings us to May 11th.

    PITA.

The owner was nice and apologetic for everything, but two mishaps with USPS, then being sent the wrong harness? I was excited about the product, but now I'm over it and just want it installed.

Suffice to say I probably won't be ordering from the company again.

That's not a BD harness. But I'm with you, super easy to make your own with weatherpack components!

It's a harness for a raptor LED kit for the pro grille.

Problem is, I have Deutsch connectors at home that fit every other harness on the truck. This is a different connector that I have not seen before. Trust me, I checked every accessory that still have Deutsch connectors on the truck. It would have been easier to wait for the company to send me there than find one online and wait. Plus, I was owed the correct harness from the company anyways.

Here's the LED kit plug (left) and the incorrect harness they sent the first time (right)

Thanks man. I should be good now that I have the correct harness. I've never seen these connectors before. I have the ones on the left at home IIRC I just didn't have enough.

Well, that's the right call then. I was at that same point at my old job. Ready to just bounce. Then I got an email from my current company out of the blue from the HR team. Started a job that is MUCH better.

Who knows, maybe tomorrow is YOUR day!

    hey!

I'm finally doing in an important mod, which is a bottle opener on my rear swingout. Did you just drill some pilot holes and attach with self tapping metal screws?

I bought a stainless one, but I like how yours is black! Link? :)
