All parts have incurred 33k miles of use.

I gave away my stock exhaust, turn signals, and I'll be giving away my oem intake too. These parts are pretty much worthless, even giving them away for FREE takes a little time lol

 

I mean 10 bucks is practically giving it away.

 

I got the afe momentum “400 dollar noisemaker” as i’ve seen it referred to as here on this forum and call me crazy but i feel improved throttle response. Before the intake i wasn’t the biggest fan of the 6speed because going into 1st just felt funky. Even if the difference isnt night and day i definitely feel like it

 

I talked about this in another thread, I don't see how its possible to NOT get a gain in throttle response/power. The factory intake has a MASSIVE resonator that's only purpose is to create resistance and make it QUIET. Same with the stock velocity stack that goes through the fender its half covered.

The TRD Intake and I'm sure the AFE one as well both either eliminate or massively reduce the resonator, plus make the velocity stack WIDE OPEN. Those both eliminate a lot of resistance and smooth out the air flow. Again they're only there in the first place because most people want their engine quiet, we actually LIKE the natural sound it makes and by eliminating essentially the "intake muffler" theres no way we get zero gain out of that.

Now maybe its not significant but I can almost guarantee its measurable.

I know back in my BMW days a popular mod was to debaffle the intakes, same principle it eliminated resistance which created more noise... and there were dyno charts proving it increased performance.

Its no supercharger but if you have performance oriented driving experience you will notice the difference. I've done a ton of track days and I'm at the point I can feel if my car has an extra 100lbs when you're pushing it. Thats like adding 3% of the vehicle's weight yet its noticeable. So even if the intake only adds 5-8hp thats still a 2-3% power gain and if you're in tune with your vehicle you can feel that as well.

Of course not a game changer but I think its ridiculous to ignore physics and say they do "nothing"
