I watched a YouTube video yesterday showing the installation of a TRD CAI on a 2018. In the comments he admitted that it didn't do anything for performance, it just looked good.

Well I've found something that is way less expensive, easier to install, and should give about the same results.

Its not a new idea. Doc Brown came up with it in 1985.

The Flux Capacitor. Stick one of these babies on top of your OE air box, and you will be all set.

WARNING: Do not drive 88 MPH without fastening your seatbelt.

EDIT: A change to your start-up screen might be useful as well.

The only benefit I find to CAIs is the added growl you get at WOT. That’s it.

Whether that’s worth $350 and 30 minutes of your time, that is up to each person.

It may still be a good idea for anyone looking to add engine sound without adding drone.

This sticker does squat for me.

Throughout time there have always been non-believers, and sayers of nay. This mod is very inexpensive, and believe it or not, it works just as well with the engine OFF as it does at WOT.

The Flux Capacitor decal arrived today. Installation was quick and easy. Be forewarned: If you decide to do this mod, it does NOT come with instructions. BE CAREFUL ! We're talking about a LOT of power here.

I also updated my Entune screen so that I could control it.

    Using 746 watts = 1 HP, 1.21 Gigawatts works out to.... well it's a LOT, I tell you !
