my old boss used to buy containers to store bikes in, we had like 5 at the shop
i've been told if they were used on the ocean they're full of cancer causing chemicals that have to be stripped out?

I'd love one of those containers to use as a shed. I don't care if my lawn mower gets cancer.

The wooden floors frequently are treated with pesticides, but if they have then they're required to have a sticker/painted sign on the door stating that it's been done.

You can actually contact the manufacturer of the shipping container, and they can tell you if the container was coated with phosphorus or chromate-based paint (for corrosion resistance from the salt). If it was, all you'd have to do is paint it again with something else. :notsure:

Generally, marine-grade paints emit harmful chemicals as they are applied and cure. The paints they use on ocean-going containers is not the water based crap you typically find but, once it's cured, they are typically fine and will not cause any issues. Just be mindful of that later on if you ever try to strip the paint or cut in a window. Most of the 'good paints' are extremely caustic if you burn them (cutting with an angle grinder qualifies). Otherwise, it's just like lead paint on houses, if you don't mess with it, it's fine but if you sand or burn it, it can cause health issues.

What's everyone doing this weekend? Anything fun? I'll be out on the boat tomorrow, maybe Sunday too.

Visiting the Grandparents tomorrow; my grandfather is on the home straight, so to speak, so I've been trying to get up there more frequently to help out with maintenance stuff and 'heavy lifting' sorts of chores. Just under a 3 hour drive one way, usually, but I've started leaving the house around 04:30-05:00 and can get there in about 2:15 since there's no traffic to slow me down. The ride home takes longer, though.

Sunday hopefully I can get the rest of the garden planted. It's been SO wet here this spring I haven't got nearly as much in the ground as I usually do, and it's driving me crazy.

Same here. I've been running the pellet stove for 20-30 minutes in the morning when I get up and again when I get home, to take the chill off the house and drive some of the dampness out.

Exactly, if I still need to run the pellet stove, can’t get outside but one day a week, give me snow so I can at least get some enjoyment out of this weather.

But ya a little warmer would be good

I really want to move / get fertilizer down. I got the mower prepped for the season today.

Oh, and I really, really want to light the Vette on fire just to watch it burn, but with my luck it wouldn't actually catch.

There is one option in Vermont so far, I was thinking it was out of the way, and looking for other options.
