post acl / mcl / meniscus surgery recovery going well. looking forward to the day i can put all this 2/4 wheel goodness to use again.

YT Jeffsy Carbon Di2 built before surgery, I have only pedaled it down the street.
FE501S has never seen dirt under my ownership, bought 2 months before surgery.

All packed up for Maob, ready to hit the Half Enchilada tomorrow. Just need to scrounge another tube over lunch.

Edit: And just realized I left the whiskey on the counter. Oh well, I got beer.

Just got my truck and have been looking into bike rack options for my Remedy. What kind of bike rack is that? I am planning on picking up Mobtown bed bars soon

Headed to Tahoe this weekend. We're going to get a chance to sneak away and ride the mountain bikes once or twice. I took a look and it looks like the rim trail is still closed/no shuttle service. But there is a place called Sly Park on 50 that will be open and has a nice 6 mile loop. Anyone have any experience with that park or recommendations for biking in Tahoe this weekend?

Dont sleep on the YT Jeffsy my dude! I think the base Stumpjumper is like $3,320 and you get the same build out on the YT Jeffsy for $2,300 (both for the base model aluminum models). Saves a grand off the front end. Also comes with DHR2s on the base model... my fav tire. haha Here is mine after yesterdays ride. Absolute ripper.

Thanks I’ll check them out as well. I was on the Specialized site and I was seeing $1850 for the base Stumpjumper

I don't do bike trips anymore, since it turned into a form of daily transportation. But turning the taco into a camper, I wondered about adding the bikes somewhere on the truck. Wife says we don't need the bikes.. :ballchain:

Oem roof rack and bike racks on the cab could work. Also.... "don't need the bikes"? I understand all those words individually but together they just don't make any sense. Maybe you misheard her.

I had a custom rack built by @Skell A.K.A. Kore 4x4 for that reason. If you look closely on the rack there are two bump outs on each side where i can mount 2 bike trays to either side of my RTT. I use Thule Sidearms and havent had any issues. Saves space in the bed and I can tow my16ft. Grumman behind for camping trips still.

Ah I see. Well if you feel like ponying up the extra $450 for the YT, youll get a dropper post, 1x12 full nx eagle groupset over 1x11, Fox suspension 150mm suspension travel (on the 27.5) and 140 mm travel (on the 29er) vs the 130 mm of travel on the Stumpjumper, DUB bottom bracket, and better brakes.

I believe they are on back order, so if you order now they will ship out beginning of next month. Thats kinda the downside of YT. They cant keep the bikes in stock very long. When I ordered mine, it was sold out the following day

Both bikes are great bikes though. The YT is specd better, but they have similar frame designs and are both progressive in the suspension area

Another good option at the 2,300 price point is the Canyon Neuron AL

    https://www.canyon.com/en-us/mtb/neuron/neuron-al-7-0#

Its actually in stock now and still very well specd compared to the stumpjumper. I have a bias towards YT but My buddy has a canyon and loves it.

I know the area. Used to do some work there.

As far as a bike... its preference..... find something that FITS YOU.

I have a Trek Fuel EX, and a Salsa Timberjack. Both fun bikes, and different.
