    Hey Marine

FWIW, my next door neighbor (Age 70 +/-) and my morning coffee partner is a retired mustang colonel.
You know what that means right?
He always "oorahhs" me LOL, while I try not to give him a hard time for being so out of shape these days...

I had an appointment with surgeon today. Looks like May 15th I get this hernia repair done. He said it's a small one and not a rush.
He said I should figure on being off work for 3 weeks.
Crap,, I forgot to ask if he does tire rotations and oil changes. Truck is due for it.:D

Good luck. After my 1st one I was on the 3 year plan. Now I on the 5 year plan.

Be careful about your hernia repair. I had a friend who had a serious hernia and they implanted a mesh screen that gradually went bad. It eventually led to his death last year. I would hope they have a handle on that treatment now, and yours may not be as serious.

Not sure of all the details but it is a really sad story. Here is what I know...
Joe was a hunting fishing guide in Maine. A great guy. We fished alot together over the years in Maine.
He had had this hernia for many years and just ignored it.
When he got a job driving a truck on the back roads of Maine, it aggravated his hernia until he needed surgery.
The trucking company's insurance paid for the hernia operation but it never really healed it.
He could not work because of the pain and got nothing but lip service from the doctor and the insurance company
who did not want to accept responsibility for it.
I was trying to help him get on disability as well as a lawyer to try to sue at least for the medical treatment he needed.
BTW there are class action suits outstanding on some of these hernia meshes.
We were not able to get him help and Joe just kept going down hill until he had a heart attack.
But it all started with the bad mesh he got in that surgery.
The church was packed for his funeral and I know he's in heaven now.

That is so sweet. I had surgery several years ago but I have had no issues so far. Never knew there were any issues and recalls. May should check out what I have.
