    Yeah, the OR and the sport have the exact same MSRP.

    I am in your boat and need a new car/truck now. But I am going to wait till I get my 2020. For me, the apple carplay upgrade, LED headlights, 360 camera and power seat upgrades are all worth the wait. I had a Ranger on order but cancelled when the Tacoma update was released. I wanted a Tacoma prior but didn't like how outdated so many features were missing. (lets not talk rear drums)

    With that said, if you plan to keep the truck for some time, wait till the 2020 as you get all these upgrades and will be happier in the long run.

    Edit: 2020 Pro on order.

    I decided to wait for a 2020 Super White TRD Pro at MSRP. I passed on the following Tacoma deals in the past 2-weeks;

    -Brand new leftover 2018 Cavalry Blue TRD Pro for $2500 under MSRP, sticker price was a shade over $45k.
    -2019 TRD Sport short bed 4x4 in Quicksand, MSRP was $39,837. Dealer would have sold it to me for $39k “out the door” with tax, license and $80 doc fee. It was the last day of April, this past Tuesday, and the dealer was below April’s sales goal. I decided not to compromise and stick with a Pro model.

    Yeah I'm thinking of waiting that and plus with my busy schedule I'm trying to do most of the leg work via phone and or email like I did with my RAV4 that and most dealerships that have the actual truck I want is stock are an hour or more away but like no one is barely getting back to me or keeping in touch with me and it's really starting to piss me off every car I've bought I've barely put any money down or no money down and it's like for once I got actual money to put down and more monthly income and they are putzing around. Toyota too. I've never had issues with Toyota but I applied one place and they denied me bc I have a loan with Toyota and my RAV4 so I'd need a cosigner, something about excessive loans. Called Toyota finance and they are all like you can have as many loans as you want. Then I applied through Toyota themselves and the email said they'd get back to me in a day with a decision. Never got anything from them. Called Toyota financial to check on the status of the application and they had no clue how to check it I swear I've never had this much issue buying or leasing a vehicle with Toyota before.

    I got my 19 TRD OR MT for 35k out the door. They are selling my used 16 with 25k miles for 31900... Buying a used 3rd gen would be retarded.. Spend the 4k and get new

    Exactly. I paid 36 and change for mine and got a brand new truck. I keep my vehicles for a long time. I like knowing every mark and mile on it was put on it by me.

    But 4k extra for knowing YOU are the first owner, the first to fart in the seat, and know that the vehicle hasn't been abused or neglected.

    I did some MSRP research for TRD Pro models. Toyota debuted the Pro in 2017;

    -2017 Pro with manual tranny - $40,760 plus $940 destination fee
    -2018 Pro with manual tranny - $41,720 plus $1095 destination fee ($960 increase)
    -2019 Pro with manual tranny - $42,960 plus $1045 destination fee ($1,240 increase)
    -2020 Pro with manual tranny - $??,??? plus $???? destination fee (to be announced)

    I got mine April 11th on a whim. I was told certain things would only be available on the limited or pro for 2020s and I wanted a sport... that was a lie, should’ve waited for sure. If they call me up saying they want to get me into a new one I’ll go for it.

    I haven't bought a 2019 AC OR M/T Taco yet but I might buy one tomorrow.

    I started out just saving up $$ with the idea of paying cash in 2-3 years. But then I thought if the interest were to drop to 0.0% then it would be a no brainer to buy now...or if it went to a more realistic rate of 0.9%, then same buy now no brainer would apply.

    Well in Canada it is now Red Tag days and Tacomas are going for 1.99% for a 36 month term...so I might as well be a player because it may not drop further as 2020s with more accessories will be more expensive, meaning the 2019s may not drop in price as there will already be a price difference without dropping, and most important there may be very few rare 2019 Access Cabs left on dealers lots in 5 months.

    I was at my local Toyota dealer yesterday and they low balled me on a trade in and when I said I would sell my car myself , they then offered $1000, off MSRP with $5000 down.(all numbers are Canadian $$) The problem was that the MSRP was inflated by a outrageously priced already installed dash cam and step bar running boards and proposed block heater. Basically $2000 CAD of dealer accessories that could be acquired in the after market for half that...so I walked.

    Today the sales rep called: They are now offering to double the trade-in value of my "06 Volvo XC70 (still offering a wholesale price for the car, though), remove the unwanted dealer accessories and install a "Toyota Premium Engine Block Heater" for free which is a $455 accessory that can be had in the aftermarket for around $150 installed. I plan on countering with: unchanged price including block heater and leave the pricey step bar running boards in place as well as the floor mats. So essentially the only $ off of MSRP will be spent on block heater, floor mats and step bar.
