Does the sos rear bumper really still allow you to use the backup camera? That’s kind of a big deal for me...

Depends on your definition of “usable”. I’m going to relocate it eventually. With the spare tire and Jerry can there is very little available usable video. I believe Eddy has a bracket for the camera, to relocate it. I just haven’t gotten around to it.

The camera being blocked is going to be any manufacturer though, it’s just the inherent nature of where the camera is positioned in relation to stuff on the swingout. I wouldn’t let that sway your decision on one mfg versus another...of course you could always not order a swingout - or if you do, don’t install it for daily driving.

Even other companies that include a camera relocation you'll have some things you have to just learn to live with. Others have had them mounted higher than factory, low, angle is different, off to one side or the other. Toyota sets them up for that one position, relocation can only do so much to replicate the factory view. Eddy has made some swingouts with a relocation bracket. The bad thing is there are so many different configurations and stuff people attach to the swingouts it's hard to find the "right" spot for everyone because something ends up being in the way. I would contact him via email and talk with him about how you are going to set it up and ask him if he'll add a relocation bracket on the swingout.

That’s what I was curious about. It doesn’t need to be perfect. I really just wanna see the hitch and maybe a bumper behind me. I shouldn’t have said “big deal” it’s more I like the convenience and don’t want to lose it if I don’t have too.
