Hey @Dishsoap where can a bunch of us stay for a night. We are making a trip to Moosehead on Memorial weekend, and folks need a stop over point for Friday night. Would be cool to be able to go across Maine backroads to Moosehead.

I've never tried to take back roads to Moosehead but I would imagine a lot of them may be pretty rough after this winter.

That part can be figured out, it’s finding a place for 25 plus trucks.

Well I've never been to moosehead, or heard of it. Google mapped it. Where are you all starting this adventure from?

Some are coming from PA and Virginia. I’m in southern Maine, bunch from Mass and Conn.

Damn that a hell of a haul for those guys! Good road trip. If your looking for a good drive through nh I'd go straight up the middle follow alongside i93 with nh route 175 or route 3. Go to Lincoln and take the kancamagus into Conway and continue into Maine. There are lots of campgrounds and parking lots along the way

I would definitely recommend this for non-Mainers. Should be pretty easy for those in mass/conn. Kind of the opposite way for Mainers though. I absolutely love the Kanc.

I figure with enough looking something will pop up, but would rather have some place that can be guaranteed to pass along to these folks coming up.

If you haven't I'd recommend taking the Bear Notch Road off the Kanc. Kind makes a nice loop and puts you back in Conway rather than following the Kanc to Lincoln and turning around and going back.
