help with the taco garage

    hey guys I need some guidance. I have had a concerning experience with The Taco Garage. Based on what I've read about on these forums that seller is usually very good, and seems well respected.

    the details :

    on April 10th I placed an order for one DMM and two "Complete mounting kit, ball, arm, static joint and low profile holder"

    I don't remember exactly when I received the order but it was a little over a week. Unfortunately it only came with One of the mounting kits and phone holders. I used the contact form on The Taco garage to reach out and when I didn't receive a return message in a couple days I followed up by private messaging @FreshMexicanTaco on this forum. I could be wrong but I believe he is the person who runs The Taco Garage. He responded over a week ago saying he would make things right. I have since not heard anything from him, or received additional packaging in the mail, nor a refund for the over payment.

    Now I'm new to truck stuff, but not to ordering stuff. I know something needs to happen, but am I wrong in thinking it should have happened by now? Should this process take longer? Should I dispute the charge through my bank?

    Sidenote, this phone mount is the absolute bees knees. if I had to leave a review, the product so far is worth the pain in the butt it's been lol so if you're sitting around waiting on ordering one do it. Just maybe one item at a time.

    You've got a pretty level attitude about it which is great to see. I got his DMM a few months back and love it. Before that I was following his threads and it seems like he does consistently get behind orders. Not my place to judge, but strictly speaking from a business perspective, it is unfortunate for him, since it reflects poorly on his business, and us, since we are very impatient when it comes to modding our Tacos. All that said, I'd continue to contact him however you can. He seems like a trustworthy guy and runs a straightforward business. The people that have had issues in the past appear satisfied later when he catches up so I'd say you have nothing to worry about (besides waiting).

    keep messaging him he’s a good guy (bought stuff from him and met up for local pick up). I’m sure he’s behind on messages because I don’t think his day job allows him access to the internet. That doesn’t excuse his tardiness but just wanted to give some context.

    I'd say just give it a little time, I'm sure he will either get the order to you or get you a refund eventually

    Maybe the dude is on vacation, or has something going on. He’s a person like you or I. Probably does this for some side money so he probably doesn’t have an office with 10 employees who can take orders and customer service issues 24/7. I doubt he’s trying to bone you. Patience is a virtue

    I work in the service industry, and this I tell you is world class customer service. I didn't expect anything close to this and let me tell you, I'm gonna buy so much shit I don't really need xD

    I would say it depends on what you order. Looking at his page, it still says orders are shipped on Friday’s only. I think I got my order within a few days of a Friday. If what you want is in stock you shouldn’t have any issues getting it before your trip. I was happy with the customer service, communication and shipping.

    It's not often I get the warm fuzzys from reading a thread on TW but this one did it.

    The taco garage is a great vendor here. I have his pro grill and DMM and both are great. Keep up the good work.
