We are in NC taking care of Christie’s father and tryin to find a place close to us to have him moved as he will require around the clock nursing. We did get an email last night and I got the job at the winery. I go in Monday to settle all the details. So back to work I go!

 

Congrats on the job offer! Take care of Dad, it's not easy when they reach that point in life.

No it’s not. We had to clean out his house when he moved into the apartment and now the apartment. Each time it is like watching somebody’s existence slowly disappear

 

Thanks I’m a little nervous about it I have never done anything like this but excited at the same time. Going from a 65 mile commute to just under 10 is going to be nice

Apartment is done. We didn’t take a lot but it filled up the truck. We have the restore coming to pick up the rest. Having a hard time finding him a place but we are trying. Sad thing is Medicare won’t cover it unless he is getting therapy and he has hit his limit. He will pretty much have to self pay until all his money is depleted. Our system for the elderly care is so screwed up

On the quest for hot dog fame and furtune, I didn't throw out the idea. I figured I could find a spot out here in the county and I did so now I'll press on with the plan. I talked to one of the managers at Tractor Supply and I can set up Thursday nights, Fridays thru Sundays whenever I want. County just requires the state tax ID, health inspection and food handler cards. I already have mostly everything sourced so I just need to get it in motion.

The short commute is pretty cool. Summer kinda sucks here though. Too hot to ride the motorcycle and too short of a drive to really get the Jeep cooled down with the ac. The other months are pretty good though...and a tank of gas lasts 2 weeks.

Average temp where I will work is 40-60 degrees

 

We may have but still plenty more work to do and $11-$12k a month. I fed him tonight and got him to eat good but they don’t spend so much time with him
