I was rinsing off my truck this morning and as I was spraying the underside, right in the middle dead center, and I noticed the water turning green. There wasn't much but I can't figure it out what it might be. I crawled under and where it was coming from there are no lines I can see. Any ideas? Thanks

Antifreeze on these is pink i believe? Is yours a 4x4? Geal oil leak from the transfer case maybe? Maybe the water is mixing with some excess grease from your zerk fittings on the drivelines?

Yup it's a 4x4. That could be it, it was right in that area. Although I greased the fittings about a month ago with standard black grease and this was a pretty bright green.

That's exactly what is judd94. Your a/c condenser has a leak

If it's oil, it'll smell like oil and should separate from the water. Anti-freeze tastes sweet since its an alkaline. I'm not recommending drinking it, but you put a little on your finger and touch your tongue to it and spit it out. It's gross but it can help you determine what you're leaking since anti-freeze only comes from one spot.

Found some bright green fluid underneath the truck this evening. Upon closer inspection the suction hose from the ac compressor to the firewall has chaffed through around a clamp, disabling my AC and leaving the compressor unlubricated. :annoyed:

Gonna try the dealer tomorrow to inquire about the cost of the aluminum/rubber line. I wonder if they will want just an arm or a leg too...

my wife's '09 Ford Taurus X had a bright green fluid leak near the radiator and it turned out to be the AC condenser had a freon oil leak. Because it was caused by a foreign object hitting the condenser warranty did not take care of the $700 it took to repair.

tha line i bought the dealership wanted 70 bucks for it. i just used my mechanics dealer discount and knocked it down to 42 bucks. which is way better than tha 90 dollars autozone wanted for it.

I just found this green fluid leak this morning when I pulled the truck out to plow snow. I was confused being the antifreeze is pink, I guess I'll check over the AC lines in the morning.
