The recommend schrockworks because they are a vendor for them. There are many other options that are as good if not better that are more affordable. The OME Nitrocharger suspension is an excellent budget friendly option, I’m running one on my LandCruiser now.

Here’s where I make you an offer. I host a mod day at my shop once a month where the people in this thread get together and help each other install suspension components at no charge thus allowing you to save money that you’d spend on install and put it towards better kit.

With that said I’d suggest looking into some of the different options that some of the St. Louis members have gone with such as some of the higher end Bilstein options.

The next mod day will be on the 11th of this month and you are more than welcome to come out and join us to meet everyone as well as check out different setups.

Haven't done any business with them, no install. Waiting on their quote on the ARB kit which will give an idea of their prices. The slider recommendation was a response to my asking if they fabricated sliders for Tacomas, which they don't, they recommended Schrockworks out of Houston. I will ask about installation as well, will update the thread. Thanks for the heads up on HeadStrong, will check them out.

Thanks GT! I will try to make it. Unable to drive at the moment, so I have to recruit a driver, will work on it. Is there a thread on the StL Bilsteins?

Depending on where you are you might be able to get one of the members here to pick you up. I think that @VangaSTL is running bilstein and I may be able to offer some guidance.

If you havent committed to sliders yet, RCI has a quick turnaround, and priced fairly compared to the competitors. I would have picked you up, but currently handicapped and parents visiting from out of the country so wont be making it this time around. I know @G.T. is :pout: on such horrible and heartbreaking news :boink::p

I got the BP-51 package, just the standard springs that come on them...I think I read it somewhere, but I don't recall the spring rate. Unfortunately o_O they're not on the truck yet because of reasons encountered at the last mod day and having pretty much zero free time since then with work and travel. If you care about the looks of a part that isn't all that visible, the shocks look good, to me anyways.

I was at Pappas the other day and was talking to one of the service guys about having the work done, more for giggles than anything, to get a baseline expensive reading on what the work would be. They didn't want to have anything to do with it after talking about the whole situation, but the service manager "knows a guy" that he thought might be up for handling it, if I were interested. Unfortunately, with all this rain, I've been pretty much underwater at work since Wednesday dealing with two year old issues that no one else seems to wanna hear about, so I haven't been able to get back with him. He happened to bounce an email to me earlier today, asking that I'd do the whole "experience survey" thing whenever I get it so I hit him up about his guy.

Unfortunately, I'll be at work again tomorrow, instead of turkey hunting back at the parents like was planned. To say that I'm glad to be in Indy next week for week as opposed to at the plant, is a bit of an understatement at this point of the week.

Shrockworks sliders arent bad and are well priced especially if you deal with shrockworks directly, Mark and his guys in Houston are phenomenal to work with. I currently have a bumper on order through them. I actually set up a group buy on the T4R.ORG forum a little over a month ago. I'd be worried about another shops markup though. Another good Australian company for suspension is Dobinsons if you're really on a budget. You can build your package the way you want. I also have a general discount code for them that they leave posted on the T4R site. Their website is www.dobinsonsdirect.com

Belleville address but I’m just a few miles south of Scott AFB. 15-20 minutes east of downtown St. Louis.

We’ve been doing mod days out here for at least two years now and I can personally say that I’ve made some great friendships with some awesome people - and a couple of weirdos too - and I literally look forward to opening the shop because those days are effectively my only social time as I spend most of my days as a patient.

    Different tires And rims
And I think a different suspension. A more “road” one, it’s stiffer than the OR
    Also no crawl control
