Hello, my first post... Toyota ok'd a front-end level kit for my 2017 Tacoma Pro and said they will still warranty the suspension if I go to a reputable installer they recommended. Upgraded from stock 265x70x16 to BFG KO2 AT 275x70x17 with very minor rubbing. I did the instal but it looks like its more then level, it looks higher in the front. They installed a 2" level on my stock front Fox suspension. So now I'd like to raise the rear 1" to "level" it. The guys at the shop where I did the level kit didn't recommend raising stock rear-end because I'd run into problems but didn't elaborate what problems. I see lifted Tacoma Pro's on YouTube but not sure if they ruined their trucks.? Does anyone know if I can do this without hurting the truck?

    Thank you

    Welcome!

You won’t ruin your truck. Do some research in the suspension section and find a solution that will fit your needs.

Welcome to TW...If that were the case, there would be a lot of ruined trucks out there. I raised my truck 4 inches 2 years ago and haven’t had to replace anything. Do it right and there should be no problems.

Thank you buckhuntin. Is yours a Taco Pro? Sounds like you did it right, do you mind if I ask how you did it or what you used? I'm trying to keep my stock suspension. I just need an inch in the rear.

    Thank you

Mine is a 14 SR5, as far as the lift it’s a Rough Country 4 inch drop bracket lift. There are a lot of R/C and drop bracket haters on here but to each their own, my truck my money. I don’t do any hardcore wheeling so my lift serves me well. I had a local off-road shop do the install and have had no issues after almost 2 years. I went with the 4 inch lift because I like the stance. If all you want is to raise the back a little you might try adding a leaf or maybe even a new leaf pack. Toyota’s stock springs are pretty crappy.
