Positive offset moves the spokes closer to the brake caliper. You want more negative offset to move the inner face of the wheel away from the brakes.

    wrong.

offset simply moves the backpad within the barrel relative to the center of the wheel. Positive offset technically moves the inner rim part closer to the suspension, whereas negative moves the barrel outward.

The position of the spokes relative to the backpad is independent to offset. The profile of the center could be flat, convex or concave and it has ZERO bearing on offset. Brake fitment yes, but not offset.

A shallow pad height moves the spokes close at the same offset. IT gets more complicated as you migrate from cast wheels to multipiece with sandwich, rear load parts

Definitely want the 0.75" spacers. These are with 1.25". There's a little rubbing with compression and steering. Love it otherwise.

Correct! It's not an issue with offset. Offset just moves the barrel of the wheel in and out while the spokes and hub mating service remains static.

Confirmed to fit? I know the size does. But OP mentioned a concave about flat wheels. Mine are flat and are fine. 5mm isn't .75" though.

So, with the 1.25" spacers these are basically a 16x8 -27mm (1.25" spacer = 31.75mm, 31.75mm - +5mm offset of wheel = effective -26.75mm offset). They are rubbing the fenders. Suprisingly, not in the back at all, even under travel. It's catching the lowest part of the front inner fender.

This is an FYI. I have the 0.75" spacers coming in this week, which make the wheel a 16x8 -14mm (0.75" spacer = 19mm, 19mm - +5mm offset of wheel = effective -14mm offset). I'm pretty sure they are going to fully clear everything without rubbing. Fingers crossed.

Interestingly, I REALLY like the more aggressive fitment, so I'm kind of happy that the wheels needed spacers after all. Had they fit without spacers, they would have been flush with the fenders. That little 0.5" poke changes the whole look of the truck.
