    We checked it today, still have half way line.. I just checked it, its all good its about half way, and we are ok with that

    This reminds me of how grateful I am to own a 2nd gen. Those oil changes suck with the location and type of oil filter 3rd gens use

    Probably several reasons
    - less landfill waste
    - lower mfg cost (so greater profit for Toyota)
    - less sensitivity to aftermarket filters, since the bypass valve and anti-drainback valve are now built-in

    Get the Baxter Performance spin on adapter like I did. Works great and actually provides more filter area than OEM one.
