So did you have a 3rd Gen prior to getting a 2019 and what is better or worse on the Truck?

Is there any difference other than TRD's being able to get leather seats?

I had a 17, now have an 18 and my friend just got a 19. All 99% the same. In 18 they all got TSS, in 19 almost no changes whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure there isn't (compared to an '18). There is the obvious safety sense stuff that was added also, but that was on '18's.

Who trades that frequently? The only reason I bought my 2018 is because my wife was threatening to spend the money that we were saving to buy me a new truck. Shes still pissed that I drive my 1999 Sonoma the majority of the time. IMO, the only way to get your moneys worth on a vehicle is to take care of it and drive it until it expires.

I traded my 17 because I decided I wanted a v6 and a tow package. It wasn't a good plan, but that's why I did it. Not trading again though now that I have what I want

true the truck is basically the same across the platform with minor tweaks in tech...

I am looking at a 2019 4 Runner and actually like the fact that it does not have the TSS but would miss some of the tech like blind spot and back up sonar.....

You don't have to own a '19 to know what the feature differences are.

And BTW, the '19 4Runner does have TSS.

edit: nvm, I read it wrong. It has SST, not TSS. lol

We don't understand what you want to know. I sat in my friends 19, other than being a TRD sport Instead of an SR5 the only other difference is the face of the non JBL head unit is now all glass like the JBL head unit. That seems trivial though so maybe you can be more clear about what potential differences you're interested in. Engine is the same, tranny is the same, seats are the same, body is the same, lights are the same...

I would say the major downgrade in 2019 is a LOT less chrome. People should complain to corporate.
