Fold down the topper with the rack on? I didn’t design it for that, it’d have to be much taller lol. But undo the snaps and the two pins inside and boom it’s out haha

Well, I had to swap out the RTT bolts for slightly shorter ones, but the RTT is on the rack, and the softopper is on!

It looks almost exactly as I pictured, tightly hugging the softopper while keeping the RTT as low as possible.

Rain test will be tomorrow, since it’s supposed to storm!

    Anyways, here are some pics!

So, I've been pretty busy and haven't updated this thread in a bit!

The Highrise Bedrack has been on a few adventures since completion:

    Dirtfest at Raystown Lake
    [IMG]

    Assateague Island
    [IMG]

So far, so good. I've haven't taken the truck on any trails just yet, but I plan to do some exploring in the some of PA's state forests soon.

If I can get my front end worked on before Takeover at Rausch, I'll likely run greens and blues for the sake of testing the rack.

I feel very good about this prototype, and I'll have the designs finalized and ready to release to the public.

    ---------------------

In other news, I've been thinking about kicking around the idea of doing some freelance design for folks. Where you get me napkin sketches, and I create a 3D model and subsequent drawings to build off of. This would include sheet metal design, Tubular structure design, etc.

    What do you guys think?

The hardest part for that, is finding the time to find to take all the measurements and stuff.

I'd be be happy to design one!

I'd be willing to take a drive out to ya one of these weekends so you can take measurements. I'm sure your 06 isn't much different then my 12

I would like to have some better brackets for my soft topper, I’ll have to post up pictures and see what you can come up with.

haha Yeah, if I got a base and some measurements, then I could have stuff to base any rear bumper designs off of
